LN Garden Hotel is located in the middle of Guangzhou and it is easy and convenient to get to all destinations. Despite the COVID situation in China, LN Garden Hotel seems to be a popular destination. Check in was quick and upon arrival, we were informed that we had been upgraded to executive level with free entrance to the executive lounge including high tea, happy hour and breakfast. It was my friend's birthday amd the hotel hads organized birthday cake, which was very thoughtful. I have stayed in LN Garden Hotel on several occasions but this time I could feeel that the service button had been pushed a little extra and the entire staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean and with all amenitities expected in a 5 star hotel. My room was out to the main road but the windows are sound proofed so not a sound disturbed me. I would like to especially thank Jay Li (senior guest service manager) and his team for following up during the stay making sure that everything was toour satisfaction. I can definitel recommend LN Garden Hotel for every visitor to Guangzhou

I stayed for 1 week in the LN Garden Hotel in Guangzhou in the Garden66 King room. The room was very nice and spacious (two rooms), good working place and comfortable bed. Garden Executive Lounge provided both breakfast and evening food when staying at the room. Very good service as well!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the LN Garden Hotel, Guangzhou when there on a brief interlude between business trips. The hotel facilities are excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. We made great use of both the open air swimming pool and the gym and enjoyed breakfast every morning beside the really extraordinary garden and 18 metre waterfall! We were really well looked after by all the staff, but in particular Jay, who had an answer for every query, and by Kim and Carrie in the breakfast bar. We would very much recommend the hotel to travellers to Guangzhou.

Another fantastic stay at the LN Garden Hotel. We came back with friends for a short holiday and enjoyed the superior hospitality, this time opting for the executive lounge and the Executive Suite upgrade. Really good value and service as usual from Butler's Jay and Tony. Can't recommend highly enough!

At the last minute, my family decided to spend three incredible nights at the Garden Hotel, GZ. Franco Io, the amazing GM, personally helped my family book a reservation and made our stay truly memorable during the Chinese spring festival. My husband and I were truly overjoyed at all of the beautiful amenities, kindness of the staff, and memories made, especially with our two boys (ages 6 and 3). We were invited to a New Year’s Eve banquet, which was absolutely spectacular, with food beyond description. There was also an incredible flea market that was happening during our stay and our family, especially our boys, enjoyed the New Year’s Day lion dance that was absolutely phenomenal! We felt so privileged and humbled to stay at the gardens during the new year festivities and found it to be such a memorable way to mark the year of the Tiger. Thank you so much Franco and Garden staff for making our stay one that we will never forget!

Let me start by saying that I can't fault the staff, who bless them, really tried to meet our requests, were very polite and respectful and even though their English was limited, we were very happy with the service we received during our recent first and definitely last visit to Garden Hotel for afternoon tea. It's not that it was terrible, it was just not what we expected or experienced ever before and included so many mishaps that we spent most of the time laughing puzzled, not comprehending why anyone would run afternoon service the way it is run there. I am a massive afternoon tea fan and have visited several hotels in GZ wanting to enjoy sublime tea with some delicious fresh cakes and snacks in a lovely romantic atmosphere. I get very little time off to spend with my partner so for us to go out like this is a very special event to us. Sadly, we left very disappointed... Most people come there purely to take photos(don't know why as the environment is outdated,old-fashioned, not 5* standard at all.Yes it has natural light and a 'view' of the 'waterfall' but that's it.We were surrounded by dirty leftover dishes from lunch service, shelves with fake books and plastic flowers-really?It's something I don't mind in a small cafe but not in a 5* hotel). There is no set afternoon tea menu, the staff claim there is but not really.Theoretically, you can have whatever you want from the list they present you with but in practice they cunningly carry items on individual trays from table to table rather than serve everything together at one time, like it is at the usual afternoon tea. This way customers feel too embarrassed to ask for everything on the tray and end up having only a small portion of what is actually included in the price(the price on the 'menu' and online varies dramatically-no idea why).I assume this is done to save cost?It felt very awkward to be asking staff to come over every time we wanted some more of what we are actually entitled to and we had to keep checking what else was included in the set to then ask for it as often there were none of that particular dessert/sweet on the trays carried around. I do not understand the concept of serving food separately, with long breaks in between(especially when there is a time limit of only two hours). The selection of drinks was very poor with only 4-5 teas to choose from, very standard selection, nothing original or interesting. We waited 25min to receive tea. 25min since the moment we walked in,after previously booking a table, and we didn't even get water. The 'special drink' was shockingly bad, a Fanta/orange soda and a kiwi 'juice'?-both seemed like straight from a cordial bottle, topped up with sparkling water. Not only did they taste awful but we didn't even receive them until after 1 HOUR of waiting. Nobody asked us which one we wanted,we didn't get a choice,we just received one of each.What if we both wanted the orange cordial? Very strange service.Tea came with no sugar,no tea spoon, no milk/cream. Had to ask for everything separately, sugar came but I was expected to use my finger to stir it in?Then had to wait for the teaspoon, then for another teaspoon for my partner...We felt like we were making unreasonable requests yet we asked for the most basic things. There was no music in the room, nothing to make the experience more pleasant. It was like a late lunch with more savoury options than sweet!Ribs at afternoon tea?!Mini sliders yes,sandwiches yes but spicy meat? Does the chef and manager actually know what an Afternoon Tea is and what it usually involves?I get that some places want to be different/original and come up with fusion options,including some local specialties but literally, the only item that is typical for A.T. were the scones. Nothing else.The cakes were minuscule, the decoration/styling of desserts very simple apart from one(very tasty lemon dessert).Sadly,the scones,by far my favourite part of the A.T.set, were only partially good.The raspberry one was great,the plain one was awful, the taste was simply horrible, full of butter and not in a nice 'creamy buttery' way.My partner, by the way, shared my opinion on everything I am mentioning here. Luckily when we asked for the plain scones to be replaced with raspberry ones,the staff obliged immediately,I appreciate that. The plates were impractical, I was expected to eat dessert with the same cutlery and on the same weird plate I cut /ate my ribs with...the list of those puzzling things is endless. Without getting into even more detail, the overall impression was negative,we felt the set was not worth the money, the atmosphere was not particularly pleasant, the food average(I emphasize it was NOT bad)and unimpressive, the way it was served is really illogical but there were some tasty items and the staff were very nice and attentive. We have dined at Garden Hotel before and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the restaurants,what a shame about the A.T....

I am not sure where to start, it was such a fantastic stay. This hotel was a personal recommendation from a friend living in Guangzhou for our fifth wedding anniversary. It really couldn't have been better. All the staff were fantastic but I'd like to mention Jay who gave us some interesting history of the hotel and looked after us the whole stay. I felt like the staff genuinely cared about us and when we mentioned it was our anniversary, they gave some nice surprises which was such an amazing touch. Winnie was also so accommodating and a really lovely person. Anyway, you have to stay here it is a world-beating hotel, the waterfall is unique and a bit special. For some nice classic grandeur and old school hospitality that is just unbeatable, check it out.

Although we live and work in Guangzhou, we find ourselves staying at the Garden Hotel regularly, at least 4 times a year. The Hotel is located near some excellent restaurants and bars and is close to our favorite shopping centers and markets. There are other hotels in this area, but we always return to the Garden Hotel. The rooms are clean, large, and elegant, the gardens are beautiful and well kept but the best part of staying at the Garden Hotel is the outstanding service. It was my wife’s birthday on our last visit, and we stayed 3 nights. The hotel upgraded everything for us automatically, including access to the executive lounge. The lounge had breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour. The attention to detail here was outstanding. Western or Chinese breakfast with buffet, afternoon tea had fruit and small snacks, happy hour had complementary beer and wine. Everything served with impeccable detail. Once again, the best part was the service. Ruby and Shelly made our experience perfect. They quickly learned our names, preferences for drinks and gave helpful advice about the area. Both spoke perfect English as does most of the staff at the Garden Hotel. On our last day, Ruby and Shelly gave a wonderful picture/puzzle of the Garden Hotel in a frame with a card signed by all the staff in the executive lounge, this was a wonderful surprise. If you are staying in Guangzhou, I strongly recommend the Garden Hotel. We have stayed there about 10 times and I am looking forward to our next visit.

The Staff were incredible. People don't come back for the rooms or the food, they come back for the staff and the service. We stayed with our friends who were leaving China as a final hurrah, we were upgraded to the Executive Suites and made to feel so welcome and appreciated at every moment. Our friend also celebrated her birthday there and the staff gave her a cake, took some photos which they turned into a small book and sung Happy Birthday to her!! It was amazing. We live in Guangzhou but do staycations downtown once in a while - I'm coming back here 😁
