Excellent and modern hotel, beautifully furnished. Great service, in particular by Club Lounge staff and Concierge. Some previous reviews complained about the location being far from tourist sites, but I found that did not matter. The Terracotta Army and Huashan are far out of town anyway and it’s easy to take a cab to Xian’s historic center. Would happily come again.

This is my first time stay with Ritz Xian and I arrived at hotel very late that day. The front deck lady Irene received me friendly and help me to delayed the check-out time for the next day. I would highly recommend this hotel for both business and family travel! Will definitely visit again!

On top of our great Xi’an vacation experience, Chelsea Liu’s considerate, warming and professional service and hospitality surpasses our expectation from all perspectives. She is great value to Xi’an Ritz Carlton. In addition to her professional service, she provides us with great tips of touring around this beautiful city. We highly recommend and compliment Chelsea’s professionality. Great Ritz Carlton experience.

If the Ritz-Carlton was going for tasteful luxury, they nailed it. So many hotels end up feeling gaudy, but the RC was minimalist and functional while still feeling high-end. My wife and I came here for a Valentine's getaway, so we contacted Chris at the hotel service center ahead of time. When we walked in the room, it was nice to see a display of balloons and a personalized Valentine's greeting. The room was well-appointed and easy to navigate, unlike some hotels which have a complex lighting system. I found that the buttons in the room just worked and did exactly what they said they wood. The internet worked great and I got 20-30mbps even using a VPN which is remarkable in China. There was a Nespresso machine in the room, which is always a plus. As mentioned below, the only problem with the room was stifling heat (78-79F/26C was the lowest we could get it) and windows that do not open. As with many hotels, the only blanket is a very heavy comforter, but even without it, it was too hot to sleep. Sure, we could have called and asked if they had a fan, but who wants to mess with that in the middle of the night? We're only silver elite with Marriott, but were treated well. They upgraded our room to club level without club lounge access. They even gave a late check-out when we requested it. Joyce in the club lounge made us feel at home and was kind enough to offer us lunch in the lounge. Some club lounges just offer a few crackers and cookies, but the RC lounge had great food and desserts. The service was impeccable. We were offered lounge access for 600rmb which didn't work for us because of other plans, but the food quality could make it worth it for those who do want to go out of the hotel to eat any meals. The swimming facilities were clean and well-maintained. I tried the sauna and steam room, both were flawless. There was a lot of traffic to the pool, but otherwise it did not feel crowded. The breakfast offering was certainly one of the better one's I've had, though it may not be the largest. Quality over quantity, but there is plenty of variety for everyone. We ate late on a holiday weekday morning and it was not crowded at all. Even closer to breakfast closing time, food was replenished quickly. One more thing, the hotel is near a new subway stop and connected to a nice mall. Plenty of food and shopping nearby. Notes to management: *No matter what we did, we could not get the room to cool down. I know many hotels in China turn off the cooling systems in the winter to save money, but rooms at the RC do not have windows which can be opened, so it was very hot in the rooms. Even without using a blanket, it was so hot that we could not sleep. If the AC system is turned off, perhaps a fan could be offered or the central heating system could be dialed back a bit. *It's annoying to have the TV automatically turn on every time you walk in the room because then you half to find the remote and turn it off. Also, the disposable water bottles surely are not very environmentally friendly. Perhaps water filtration could save on this? We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back again!

Short but sweet! Stayed just one night here but everything is impeccable and true RC! Obviously the hotel itself and facilities are top notch already but what made it more memorable is the people, the staffs. Arrival: from the gentleman who assisted us on way out of the car to FD who checked us in and GR Riana who escorted us, very attentive! Also to Cherry who helped us a lot with our queries and arrangements. Room: very spacious and well thought according to guest’s comfort/needs. Club Lounge: Still in awe!!! If not the biggest, perhaps one of the biggest Club Lounge we’ve ever seen. The food presentations were great! There is also a separate bar!! Also, there are outside sittings with fantasit view. Pool/Spa Facilities: Again, staffs were very helpful. Facilities were so clean and great area to really relax. It was indeed a great experience. Will definitely return back!!
