Close to the Wall with great view. Definitely recommend cycling the city wall perimeter - get tickets to enter the wall and then hire bikes when up on the wall. Hotel is two minutes walk from Yongningmen Metro entrance A2. Super choices at breakfast buffet. Club room benefits from early evening drinks and tasty snacks. Super value!
The Grand Park Xi'an was located right by the old city walls and our room viewed the magnificent wall as well as the bright lights of the skyscrapers and large shopping malls. The room was very comfortable and spacious and very reasonably priced for a hotel of this standard. We would pay 3-4 times as much in Australia, so this was a nice luxury! The hotel is charming and the staff very professional and friendly. We did have confusion on the first day but that was due to language barrier and we were all good. There is a metro stop right outside the hotel, which made it very easy to go to the Muslim Quarter and all the wonderful street food in 2 stops. The metro also went straight to the high speed rail without having to change stations. Very easy. The hotel arranged a taxi to take us and drop us off at the Terracotta Warriors, which is about 1 hour drive from the city centre. Very good stay.…
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Our room was quite nice and had an amazing view! The dining room was very pleasant and the food was very good. Some of the people in our group did some shopping near the hotel.
This is the perfect hotel if you're in China on business and want to visit Xi'an for a day or two. The Xi'an subway has been improved a lot since the information I found online was posted. You can now exit the Bullet Train at North Station, board a #2 train and go directly to Yong Ying Men station. Take exit A2 and the hotel is right in front of you. Across the street is the City Wall. You can't go wrong!
If i visit again xian I will stay in this hotel again as I had a very very pleasant stay.. The room was very good., the breakfast very good and the service very good.. What more one should ask for from an Hotel?
Great location just walks to metro station and City Wall South Gate, Good foods and services in Park Palace restaurant, Front and Concierge staffs are very helpful. Very recommend staying if you visit Xi'an.
This hotel is considered 5 star but in actuality it’s 3 star at most. It’s dated which is most obvious in the bathroom which smelt musty. The shower pressure was extremely weak. The staff are efficient and nice. We appreciated the complimentary welcome drink (we chose the tsingtao beer). The buffet breakfast included in our room rate was good and had plenty of choice. My favourites were the fresh fruit and bircher muesli which were delicious! They also had things like pancakes, an egg station, yummy bread pudding, fried rice, breads, bacon, sausages etc. The location is wonderful in relation to the Wall and the South Gate.
I stayed at the Grand Park while catching the sights in Xi'an on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to central China. It reminded me very much of Embassy Suites hotels in the US in terms of its floorplan (a large open atrium, with dining and meeting spaces on the first floor and all the rooms facing outward along the margins, with great window views). The room itself was very comfortable, and I had a view of the city wall and belltower across the way where music and light shows occurred every night. I it was a good staging place for our visits in and around Xi'an, and it was close to a bunch of good dining options in the shopping malls nearby (important, given how much it rained in the evenings!)
Firstly, the good things: the location of this hotel is very nice, and the breakfast is excellent. There is coffee/tea in the room, and a little fridge, which is convenient. I might recommend it for those reasons. However, the rooms look like they have not been renovated since the 1970s. There are stains on the walls, carpet, cupboards. The bathroom has cracks and dirt in every corner, making it overall feel a bit "dirty" - it also does not help that there is a sign next to the bed reminding guests to wear a condom to prevent STDs! Then the other problem was that there was huge construction work going on in the area right below the room where I stayed. They started working at 7.00 and it was incredibly loud, also during the weekend. This is pretty terrible when you're tired and jetlagged.…
This hotel is in a fantastic location to see the city. It was also really good value for money. It may not be as flashy as a Marriott etc it certainly did the job. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff were very helpful, even giving my young daughter a cuddly toy as a free gift without any prompting! My parents stayed with us and also found it comfortable. When the staff had accidentally charged them incorrectly for a drink in the bar, they were delivered a big bowl of fruit by way of apology (and a refund!) I would definitely recommend this hotel.
