I spend a lot of time at the hotel for both business trips and holidays. My last stay was during New Year so, as expected, many staff were away on holiday. Nevertheless, the service was fantastic, as always. I spent a lot of time in the hotel, taking advantage of all the restaurants and room service, and I was not disappointed. On Saturday night, my brother and his family joined for dinner, despite being a 40 min drive for them, as this is their favorite hotel buffet in Hangzhou!
I have stayed in many of the rooms, so I can say their quality and attention to detail is consistently bliss. On occasions, friends and family come to visit, and the rooms always make an impression. I also like to plug in my laptop into the TVs via HDMI, so we can watch our own films and shows, which is made easy by the TV extension brackets.
Can't speak highly enough of this hotel in every aspect. The leisure amenities are second to none. The location is a nice change from the Westlake, with the Canal and scenic spots that can be seen from the rooms. Thanks again to all the staff for making me so welcome.... and Happy New Year!

My first stay in a Kempinski Hotel with my family was more than what we expected... We stayed in Delux Suites for 1 night. Our stay started with warm welcome in person, attentive care and professional responses from the staff, attention to the details in the rooms and facilities. Honestly, the hotel was spotless, the staff were both well mannered and trained. We did not want to leave when checking out and cannot wait to return.

I stay in 5 star hotels when I travel to Hangzhou, and my best experience is at the Kempinski Hotel. The Kempinski is best known for it's concierge service called, "Lady in Red". Chloe , is one of the best. She assists me in all aspects of my day, and I have never had a bad experience at this hotel thanks to her. She is energetic, friendly, and smart.
Front Office is the answer station for residence halls，all of the staff has an excellent, "can-do" attitude, including the housekeeping staff, who I find to be excellent as well. All the staff at Kempimski do a great job, and it's my pleasure to stay there. even now, in a difficult worldwide circumstance

Had an absolute blast of a stay at the Kemp over the weekend, it was an anniversary weekend for us and we truly enjoyed every bit of it.
From the surrounding areas with great restaurants and brilliant bars, with excellent beer and drinks. The Kemp is situated very nicely, close enough to the city center yet you never feel overwhelmed by people and crowds. Having the canals all around you definitely contributes to the relaxed vibes you will feel all the time, topped off with a nice trip to their superb spa it’s definitely the best R&R weekend you could have.
Service was also top class! With friendly faces and excited personalities that always are eager to help and assist with anything you might need! From Megan at the front desk providing the best service in perfect English and always greeting with a warm hello, to Frank rolling through the night shift always cheerful and helpful.
Finally and always leaving the best for last, the breakfast buffet! I can not stress this enough! You have to get the breakfast buffet! It’s brilliant! A beautiful mix between western and local cuisine with top notch quality and a massive variety to choose from, you can’t go wrong! Truly a highlight for any foodie!

This is a very recent hotel in Hangzhou, got slightly upgraded to river view room. Room design is great and very modern, only thing missing is coffee machine for every room type for a hotel of this caliber. the Chinese restaurant was good with reasonable priced fine wines. Sad they closed the bar both days we were there (Sunday and Monday). Breakfast is good quality, large breakfast room airy feeling. Overall a great choice considering price/ service, just a bit far from the usual tourist stuff (west lake etc).but taxis are plenty. Design is great. Gym and pool of superb quality. Could definitely consider repeat for business. Also the bakery/deli has great German breads.

My first time in the hotel, but will certainly be back. It's a very high standard of Kempinski, which can be seen with the the products they use, quality of rooms, service and food. Great value too, in my opinion.
We also ate in the German restaurant, which was excellent.
It's no wonder, despite the pandemic, the hotel had many customers dotted around the place.
Thanks to all the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

We spent two nights at Kempinski Hangzhou in October 2020. The welcome was warm and professional and we were lucky to get a room upgrade. The room was very clean and in mint condition. The beds were very comfortable. We were very pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet and the restaurant 'Frieda' with Austrian chef. For us everything provided was on a very good and high level. The Wiener Schnitzel was definitely the best I have had in China. For that and the dessert alone, I would travel from Shanghai again. All in all, a really very good house despite being away from the lake. Currently under German management, which is certainly why it is so good.

It was my first time to visit Hangzhou and the reason why I chose Kempinski was its design, great reputation and service. When I placed the call to Service Center and asked whether there would be special setup for my birthday, the girl named April or Apple who answered CERTAINLY to me which expressed me so much. After that, I received a call from Guest Relation maybe?? - a girl asking me regarding my ETA, my age :) The day I arrived - the female staff dressed in red checked me in was excellent, comfortable and confident. She said the room was decorated and well prepared by Housekeeping and herself... I do appreciated all staffs who took care of my special day and will definitely come back!

For China this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at . Modern, contemporary, very good size rooms, great breakfast, amazing facilities including a stunning pool and spa area and an extremely well equipped gym that is set out perfectly.
Location is perfect with good restaurants close by and the Westlake only a short and inexpensive taxi ride away.
The sales director Jack and his staff continuously went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and very well looked after.
I couldn’t recommend highly enough, and I have stayed at many hotels in China.
If you want a European experience in China, choose the Kempinski in Hangzhou.
