Stayed here 2 nights as part of a Travel Asia tour. Hotel foyer is on the 8th level and difficult for elderly travellers to get to with only 1 lift on the ground floor. Rooms average for this type of hotel. Breakfast was in the...More
At first when arriving to the hotel i was a bit shocked, we had to drive down a dark laneway to get in, hotel entrance was located at the back off of the road. Hotel lobby was located on 8th floor so we all had...More

The hotel front lobby may be at the rear of a shopping mall however it is near to everything from fast food McDonalds to food courts with fresh food and clothing shopping.Been in the central also means traffic can be bad during peak hours.
We chose this hotel because it is conveniently-located, near the metro station, WuLin Plaza (武林广场 Wulin Guangchang) and many eateries.
Service was excellent for the price we paid for up to the time BEFORE checking out. The checking-out staff at the reception by the name...More

I was in Hangzhou in March of this year and the hotel is very nice and is in the middle of the city. I arrived at the train station and departed by air. To answer your question directly I do not recall an airport shuttle for any of the hotels but then again I wasn't looking for them. There is probably buses that can get you to the train station but that won't be a great help at that time. If I recall correctly the trip from the hotel to the airport via Taxi was about 45 minutes. Generally taxis in China are quite affordable and while I can't remember exactly what the taxi cost I think it was around $40usd. With you arriving at the airport at 9:30pm and, by the time you get your luggage I am not sure that you would want a bus...if you can find one. It probably won't get you to the hotel until after midnight.
You say you don't speak Chinese - I don't either, and the one thing that I learned quickly was to have the addresses that I require for hotels, etc. printed in Chinese and available when I get into the taxi. You can pull the addresses off the hotels web pages and just hand it to the driver. Spend some time before you leave for your trip to do this and it is time well spent.
I was only in Hangzhou for a day. The hotel is in a major shopping area but it is a worthwhile walk to head to the lake area about 30 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel staff can point you in the right direction. There is also a subway stop not far from the hotel.
Hope this helps.
