Dormy inn is located in the Sapporo Tanukikoji Shopping Street and it is also closer to metro station. Their breakfast is great and provides many choices of food. Free taxi service to Sapporo station is provided but it is required to book it one day in advanced.
Staff were friendly and helpful the moment we stepped into the hotel. I appreciate that the hotel is quite new and bedroom size was also good for two (not very spacious but good enough). My favourite parts have to be the onsen and how we could walk around the hotel wearing the clothing and slippers provided. There were even memos in the room to assure us that the clothing and slippers have been sanitised. The breakfast is a must-try - steamed lotus root, corn, Saba fish, salmon, persimmon, curry ramen and more! The only things to improve are - unfriendly breakfast lady and the stiff pillows and bed. But overall a satisfied customer!
Advantages: 1. Great location: located in Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade 2. Great onsen in city centre 3. Complimemtary ramen every night till 1030pm? Disadvantages: 1. Rooms need renovation. 2. Double bed in Small room is not enough for 2 adults. I have stayed in 2 types of room, the small one (16m2) and the biggest one (32m2). The biggest one is more spacious but not practical I might stay here again next time in Sapporo. Visited in 20-22 June 2018
Dormy Inn is well known for its free noodle at night, availability of a small spa, surprising breakfast. This one in Sapporo is only 3 minutes walk across the road from the JR Station, and 5 minutes walk to the main tourist spots....the bridge, glassware, musix box, both luxerious and economical food, deserts .... most of the things a tourist would like to see and buy. Again, the breakfast is almost a must that a traveller should consider. The availability of choice, esepcially some native food such as salmon caviar, squid, shrimp sushi, even white corn (occasional)...would make you feel worth to stay there. Overall environment and facilities is expected to be a 3-star hotel, but with the spa and breakfast, many caculative travellers would think it worthy of a stay. At least I am.…
