Detailed Reviews
Very nice hotel with kind and friendly staff. We were upgraded to a premiere room, which was much appreciated. Our room (1502) was very stylish and spacious. It was extremely comfortable with good lighting, a nice table and comfy chairs. Bed and pillows (both soft and hard) were excellent. WIFI was very fast and there was a security safe and a bar fridge. There was a USB charger station next to the bed, which was very handy. The Air Con was set in heating mode and worked well (especially as it was snowing outside). Bathroom and shower were very good. Excellent views from the large window. The hotel was a short walk to the Green subway, which was just two stops away from the JR main station. There was also a shuttle bus to the JR station. The room also had a complementary mobile phone with WIFI hotspot that we could use. It was fantastic and allowed us to make free local calls. Really a great idea. Toilet paper seemed a bit thin and flimsy but this may be part of the eco-planning.

Stayd here from Dec. 31, 2019 until Jan. 6, 2020, got a quad room with breakfast for the four us, The location of the hotel is perfect, you go out, turn left and one block after is the main street with Don Quijote, Mitsukoshi, train station, and restaurants aboudn in every corner or street. Even the catholic church cathedral is "walkable" on a not so cold day. The hotel on the other hand well I love the room of which the windows can be partially opened, this way during winter you can mix the heater and the cold air from the outside and it does not get dry, the breakfast buffet is good but it can use some changes on a regular basis, meaning a change in the food selections, ate here for 6 mornings and it was basically the same, but I cannot complain, staff very kind and friendly and accommodating, and maybe the TV channels could add some English selections, would definitely come back here

Stay here for 3 nights for snow festival.
As an Accor gold member, i was upgraded into higher room on the top floor and received early-check in. The room is spacious and has bigger space that other Japanese brand chain hotel. Breakfast was generous and tasty especially grilled fish that is so fresh. The amenities provided have high quality.
The hotel is located near Susukino station which is 2 stations away from Sapporo, you can either take subway or walk through underground walkway or you could take shuttle bus from JR sapporo that i wish hotel inform me before my arrival.
I would definitely comeback to this hotel next time i visited Sapporo.

Stayed in the Mercure for a week while I attended business meetings in Sapporo in Oct 2022. I booked an Executive Room, so I cannot comment on a standard room. The room was excellent and larger than many Japanese hotel "executive" rooms and well soundproofed. The room was well equipped with a good-sized desk, quality drip-filter coffee machine, separate electric kettle, and refrigerator, with good WiFi for all of my devices. The staff were wonderful and easily able to handle my total lack of Japanese language skills and I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The Mercure is less than 2 blocks from the Susukino tram stop in the middle of the entertainment district, which was great for my daily travel to my meetings. In all, a very pleasant stay.

・Mercure Sapporo is situated in Susukino downtown, easily access from/to busy streets and Sapporo station.
・Employees are polite, precisely reacts for customer's request.(c.f. any queries, issuing receipts, etc.)
・The room is comfortable and kept clean, however the light in the room is a little gloomy at evening.
・In breakfast, we have only Occidental/Japanese plate(due to COVID19 there was not buffet), but you can have some option and each of them are so yummy.
・Upgraded to the Deluxe room at that time, too large for single, but I enjoyed the superior relaxing time. "Iyayraykere"(Aynu itak, in English:Thank you so much)

I have been visiting the Mercure Sapporo Hotel for 10 years during my family trips to Sapporo. The rooms have always been tidy and spacious, which I appreciate. I also like the privilege room type with its free mini bar.
The breakfast buffet offers delicious Hokkaido foods and ingredients. Although there is a good variety, I wish they had more premium food options like seafood sashimi.
During my last trip, there was a problem with my request to stay in the same room for the entire 6-night stay, which I had communicated two months in advance. When I arrived, they informed me that I would have to change rooms on the 4th night. I expressed my disappointment, but they were able to find an alternative solution.
I was impressed by their attentive response in resolving the issue, and I want to thank them for their thoughtful gestures.
In the end, despite the initial hiccup, the hotel's exemplary customer service and their desire to take care of their guests made the experience better. I left the hotel feeling confident in recommending it to others.

Stay for 3 nites for the snow festival with 2 kids. They enjoy the snow. Breakfast was nice, they served ice cream in winter lol. You can open the window inside the room which was nice because can see the snow and get some fresh air. The room was nice and clean. Approx 25m2. Location is very close to odori park, susukino and subway. Mini market are just next door. Ramen alley is walking 5mins from the hotel. Is a must try.

We were all set to travel from Hawaii to Sapporo, Japan for the various annual Snow Festival ice sculptures in Hokkaido. It was a trip of a lifetime. However, with the concern over the unknown factors with how the Corona Virus might spread in early January, we decided to cancel the entire trip and stay home. Airline miles were redeposit back with no fees, and the Sapporo Mercure Hotel Susukino with Hotel Manager Dean Daniels, approved refunds for our 10 day hotel stay. Such understanding and compassion is much appreciated. Our next trip to Japan will be back to Sapporo and especially here at the Mercure Hotel Susukino! Again Aloha and Mahalo’s

You need to cross the main road in front of hotel. To be precise ask the hotel staff they have the map of bus stop together with the timetable. Hope this will help
Just go to the bus counter at the airport, and you can buy tickets and they will show you on the map where to get off. As mentioned by Robert, the stop is near the hotel. You will see the hotel on your left just before the bus turns into a smaller lane, where the stop is located.
