This little hotel is a no frills hotel. However, it has everything you need. The staff are really nice and helpful. The breakfast is nice touch as well. It is only a few block from the Sapporo station and Odori Park. Lots of places to eat yummy Japanese cuisine. I had a great experience which I won't forget... I loved my visit to Japan but the bus system and train system is overwhelming to a person who doesn't have access to public transportation such myself. I got stranded a few times so was really worried that I would miss the train to go back to the New Chitose airport. Ironically, the staff member, Airu, who helped with lots of my navigation to explore the area got off work when I was leaving. She was headed to the train station as well and asked if I need help with all my snowboarding gear. I decline then saw her on the street waiting for walk signal. I, then, asked her again which way to the train station to make sure. She walked with me to the station as she was going there anyway. When we got there, I asked her for help with getting a ticket as there were lots of people at the station. She purchase it for me then showed me which gate to catch my train. All went well. Airu really made my stay here a great stay. I am so grateful for her kindness. If I visit Sapporo again, I would definitely stay at this hotel. Happy Traveling!!!…
This hotel never fails you! The breakfast is good and value for money. The front desk people are all nice. The room is good and clean. You cannot expect more from this hotel at this price. Being a member of this hotel, the prices are unbeatable!!! I spent every morning looking out of the window for the breath-taking and romantic view of snowing.
It was cold and snowy... We arrived in Sapporo from hot Singapore over a red-eye flight to Tokyo then Sapporo. Checked into this friendly hotel, boutique size with spa at the basement. The room is small by international standard but room enough for me and my wife. Room is well equipped like most Japanese Hotel. We used the spa before the crowd arrived and it was nice. There's a resting centre at the basement with paid machines and dryers, and benches and tables and chairs for good 20+ people. We had good rest the 5 nights we stayed at the hotel which is why I gave it a Very Good rating. Walking distance to Sapporo JR station with good shopping including Daimaru department store, and good selection of food. Hotel staff are friendly and speak many languages. Though there are many Chinese staying at the hotel, it is quiet and well managed. New Otani Hotel and Richmond Hotels are just next to JR Inn. Only setback is their room wifi - slow and weak and at times we lost connection. We had to move to Basement to get full wifi working.…
This hotel is one of the Toyoko inn hotel chain. The location is good, 7 min walk from JR Sapporo station. But you may not find the hotel easily, because it is along a narrow street. The hotel is jusy behind ANA hotel. From the hotel, Clock and TV tower are within walking distance. The room is not wide, but enough to sleep. You can use free WiFi without cable. Breakfast is free, but I think the breakfast at this hotel is not so good, compared to other Toyoko inn horels. Price is reasonable. Totally I recommend this hotel, if you want to save money.
This is my second time staying in the Toyoko Inn chain of hotels and I was not disappointed once again! We stayed in a non-smoking double room and it was just nice for us. The size of the room may be a bit small for some but not to worry, the beds have ample room underneath for luggage storage (we did not need to use this extra space though)! Basic amenities are all adequately provided (e.g. kettle, toiletries etc. even an additional cosmetic pack for ladies and complimentary pyjamas at the lobby!). We really enjoyed the simple breakfast included in the room rate as well (healthy and filling with bread and Japanese style dishes like onigiri and miso soup, plus they change the menu everyday!). Service staff were polite and helpful too. The location is also very convenient, a 1 min. walk from the No. 21 exit of Sapporo Station Subway Toho Line (connected underground from the main JR Sapporo Station), and close to many major tourist attractions in Sapporo City. Would highly recommend this hotel chain to any travellers looking for reliable and budget accommodation.…
The hotel's location is strategically located near odori park. To reach the hotel, u can use the underground pass all the way from sapporo station which makes it super convenient especially in winter where the roads are icy and slippery. All you need to do is walk towards South exit at sapporo station to Exit 31. The hotel is on the small street 30secs away. Though the hotel can be old looking amd very basic, it is very clean and do provide complimentary breakfast. The breakfast is sufficient which consist of simple toasts n jam etc and Japanese style breakfast. Basically, if u are looking for somewhere just to sleep wirh good location . ..this is the place. It is one of the cheaper priced hotel around this area.
The hotel has a great location near the main Sapporo Station making it easy to travel around. There are also lots of shopping and dining options within walking distance around the hotel. The interior of the room is the same as all the chain's hotels, which is clean and neat but not too spacious. With a simple but tasty breakfast and free Wifi included, the price was definitely of great value. They are strict with their check-in timing but allow luggage storage so plan ahead if you arrive early. Staff were friendly, polite and knows basic English. Overall, had a good stay with the hotel.
My friends and me stayed in this hotel for 2 nights recently. The hotel is mid-range but the location is superb. It is a short walking distance from the JR train station. When we were there it was snowing but there is an underpass from the JR station to the hotel. Take Exit 21 turn right and walk a few steps and you will reached the hotel. From the hotel you can walk to Odori Park, Sapporo Tower, Shijo market, Tanakijoki shopping street. The staff are very friendly and some of them even speaks mandarin which was a big help to us. Breakfast was very good with different menus everyday. The rooms are normal japanese size with a small double bed for two. Room and bathroom are clean. The sheets and towels are clean too. They provide all the necessities needed. They have laundry machines at the lobby which we could make use of. The one best thing we found out is that the hotel provide courier services and we couriered our luggages to our next hotel in Hakodate as we need to make stops at Noribetsu, Lake Toya on our way to Hakodate. Lugging our luggages all the way will be a big hassle to us. The luggages arrive the day after as earlier indicated. I would definitely recommend this hotel for those touring Sapporo.…
Good location yet good price. The breakfast was great. They are strict on the check in time and thus, do leave your luggage with them and start your Sapporro tour if you arrive earlier than the stipulated check in time.
I stayed this hotel for one night to enjoy sightseeing in Jan., 2016. <Upside> 1. I could stay here at affordable price, even though most of hotel's charge in Sapporo had risen lately because a pile of foreign tourists came to Sapporo to enjoy snow experience. 2. It was a trouble for winter's travelers to bring suitcases on snow's sidewalk. However I could bring it to hotel easily because this hotel was nearby the 21th exit of underpasses around Sapporo station, it took about one minute from 21th exit to the hotel. 3. There was a complimentary breakfast. 4. There was a humidifier in my room, it was comfortable in the room because it prevented from drying it up. <Downside> 1. It was too late to prepare a breakfast. It started at 7:00am, but I hope to begin at 6:30 am. 2. The room was too narrow to stay for one night. 3. There was not a memo pad, it was a bit inconvenient.…
