Great for walkers

Great location, close by a lot of Sapporo sights and shopping.
Comfortable room, with comfy beds.
Like all other Japanese hotels I've stayed at on my current tour, this one had the same small emergency flashlight. Great idea!
The breakfast buffet was quite extensive and varied.

I love this hotel in how good their service is. I didn't receive my package and the front desk Mr. Kudoh response efficiently and assisted at once to found my package. The room is clean, bed is large and with non-smoking. Large bathtub and the room looks very nice. Location is superb too only 1min to bus station and subway. 30s to convenient store. I will definitely come back when I visit Hokkaido!

Stayed her for 4 nights while on business. The hotel is very nice as were the rooms. The hotel has a very nice Zen Garden which is the centerpiece of the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location with plenty of things walkable.
I would remove d staying here.

My family was disappointed with and suffered for the given room. It was right opposite the three main elevators. Due to the sounds from bells and movement of the elevators, and the vibration of the moving elevators, we could not fall asleep till late night. In the evening we noticed that we have those problems, and asked the front office for a changing room. However, they said their rooms were full and denied my request. And saying that when it comes to midnight movements of guests would be reduced and it would be quiet and the vibration would stop. Which means we had to endure those problems till midnight. As they said, sounds and vibration had reduced around midnight. Though, since then irregular bell and movement sounds and elevator vibration had kept early morning. My wife and I were suffering for those reasons and could not have deep sleep. What I can not tolerate is that this hotel, New Otani Inn Sapporo, had provided such a room to a guest, though they must have known about the matter. They should close the room until the matter is solved. They are losing their face by themselves.

Stayed here for the snow festival, so a very busy weekend in Sapporo. Through my own fault I left my bag with very important items on the airport bus (Hokuto Kotsu). It wasnt until after check in that I realized this. Reception staff 大石 went above and beyond his duties, and helped me call the bus company. The bus driver actually drove back to the hotel to return to item. In the end, within 30mins my ordeal was over. I cant express enough my gratitude to 大石 . どうもありがとうございます.

It's about 10 mins walk from Sapporo JR station. You can also go via the underground tunnel and exit by 22 too. Hotel room is quite spacious and housekeeping did a fantastic job... Foreigners are treated with respect (unlike some smaller hotels who serve mainly Japanese guests) and their staff speak relatively good English. Highly recommend either for business or leisure stay

We came to stay in this hotel during a family tour with two very young kids. We were given a Smoking room; then we tried to request a room change and even willing to change floor or price, but they somehow were not able to give us one. They did however, tried to put some kind of humidifier to cleanse the air; although it didn't work completely and we have to sleep the night with a smoke odor inside the room.
Anyway, room was pretty small and no basic body lotion and drinking bottled water provided in the room. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay and we will definitely not come back again!

Old but comfortable hotel, have a new renovated floor that costs a little more, also famous for their buffet breakfast. Wifi works smoothly with no password needed. Walking distances within Sapporo, Odori station where a lot of shops/eateries and underground walkways. Do check weather as it is not easy to walk in thick or old slippery snow from JR Sapporo Station to hotel with luggage. The underground walkway Exit 22 is nearest to hotel but no elevators or escalators available with ALOT of stairs, thus not quite suitable for elderly or with heavy luggages. Exit 21 says escalator but also with a good flight of stairs.
Overall - Comfortable and will stay again ^^ お世話になりました！

Dated hotel but room refurbished though toilet not so. Was generally clean and service was good. Walking distance to Sapporo station. Hokkaido liner picks from hotel lobby to ski resorts, hence very convenient.

We followed the signage. Quite well sign posted. Once out of the station we followed signs towards JR Tower hotel, heading leftward. From there we just followed the passageway until we could no longer do so cos the department store was locked. Sorry I can't be more specific. Enjoy Hokkaido!

"Our room is close to lift but it's not noisy. Sapporo is a non-smoking city, not even on street corners or kerb sides. Only designated rooms for smoking and certain areas in restaurants ."
