Quintessa Hotel Sapporo 23 Feb to 7 Mar 2019 Reception was professional and quick. The staff are polite, friendly and do their best to communicate with limited english. It would help if I spoke Japanese, but sadly I don’t. The room was large as booked and met expectations. While the size is reasonable compared to many others in Japan, the configuration is just adequate being long and narrow, with limited windows. The bathroom was large and had a separate shower and bath. A warm toilet seat is a great touch in a very cold environment especially in a cold February winter. The bathroom is well appointed. Wifi worked well and is complimentary with our room. The TV is of a good size, but did not have any English speaking channels. There were about six Japanese-only channels. They play nice soothing, mostly American, music in the public areas. Location was ok and about 10-15 minutes easy walking to the city centre. Unfortunately in February and March many of the footpaths can be covered in snow making walking a challenge with many slippery sections. Be careful. I didn’t see nor use the Concierge services. Airconditioning is a bit noisy at night and can be heard while trying to sleep. However, it works well and keeps the room warm. The room rate was well below normal due to it being winter and the Coronavirus which has stopped many tourists. Overall a pleasant experience thanks to the friendly staff. Happy to stay here again. Thank you.

we spent 4 nites at this hotel. 2 Convenient stores right in front of the hotel; super convenient! 4 min walk to the nearest subway station and 3 stops to Sapporo station. We had the family room and it fits in comfortably for4 single beds. The room and the toilet are super clean! noted that the hotel just did a renovation. Everything smell and feel new and clean! Weakness - the pillows too small and uncomfortable, we asked for extra pillows. Also, there is no bell boy to assist with the luggage, no room services, anything u need, u need to go down to the front desk to ask for support.

Good house keeping, location convenience, 5 minutes walked to the subway station, breakfast items mainly for Japanese people, not Western but it's nice without sausage or bacon. Reception are polite and helpful, their English still below average but they do try everything is possible.

The lobby was nothing to talk about but our room was big and modern, the bathroom was North American sized, which was unusual in Japan. Nice lighting. Though the cleaning could be improved, Convenient location.

What we love most: • Big room for Japan standards • 5 mins walk from train station • Quiet neighborhood • Close to Susukino, Odori, and Nakajima Koen park • Newly renovated rooms • Comfortable stay • Across 24hrs convenience store • Friendly and efficient staff (front desk and housekeeping) What hotel needs to improve on: • Lacks amenities - no safe deposit in the room; you need to leave valuables in concierge - no complimentary water - no English channel

Stayed for a night at this hotel in Sapporo. The room is clean, spacious and very comfortable. Bathroom is big with separate bath tub and shower facility. The location is quite convenient with 2 convenient stores (Lawson and Seico) opposite the hotel. Shopping is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast is simple but good. I would not mind staying at this hotel again if I visit Sapporo.

This hotel is located just 10 - 15 min walk from the Tanukikoji Shopping arcade (my wife walk back from there). It has 2 convenience shop across the road, thus, you can get anything you want from there. The hotel serves a good simple spread of breakfast and the room is clean.

This hotel is for someone who now your way around in Sapporo and on a budget. There are no bus service( if you travel to Nisssko). We had to go to a hotel hear by, to organise morning pick up to Nisseko, and organising a ski. However, we like a breakfast, and an old gentle man that will park your car if you higher one.

Stayed here about 3 years ago and thought it good value. Still is. Large rooms available for quite a reasonable discount price. The wi-fi was sorted out and much easier to use. The staff were very helpful and actually let me check in 2 hours early.
