We visited with family the snow festival . The hotel is greatly located next to the main station with direct access to the underground walkway. Room are specious and well equipped . Good breakfast choices and on premises Starbucks . Two areas they need to improve : no gym and no Wi-Fi in the business center.
Recently we went to sapporo and stayed sapporo Grand hotel. The hotel is conveniently located with access to sights easily by walking, the subway trains entrance is just 2 min from the hotel. There is also a bus service next to hotel. The rooms are clean . The staff are very friendly.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff once we stepped into this hotel and it is very refreshing after a long journey with a stressful connecting flight from Haneda. The top quality spread at the buffet table in the morning is always something to look forward to. The location is fantastic to explore Sapporo with many sights just within walking distance. We will definitely be back next winter!
Great location (700m from Sapporo Station), good amount of dining options, even though some of the on-site restaurants were closed and great staff. Breakfast buffet was great - plenty of western and Japanese options. Room was spacious and comfortable and good choice of in room amenities. Loved the in room coffee
the hotel is just few blocks away from Sapporo station. it is connected directly to the underground station. very iconic.. lots of stores and restaurants nearby. breakfast, you have japanese and western options..
'Average' is probably a bit harsh, but to be absolutely honest there was nothing that stood out and made you think that that Aspect was a bit out of the ordinary - so Average. Nothing Special. Unremarkable seems to all fit. Called Grand, but unless one is thinking of the French word for 'large' (500 Rooms & huge Conference Rooms)', then one has to say there was not much that was Grand about it. Way back in the 1930s it might have been. Now I'm afraid it needs a makeover and a sizable does of TLC. Just from the outside it is not a welcoming sight, with all of the design og a Office Block about it
Keep the curtains of the old-fashioned rooms open and wake to the sight of the city commercial offices spread out before you, just past your toes. These are not rooms designed for lingering in or honeymooning, or for inviting friends to stay who are, say, over 6 foot. What this micro-hotel lack in size, décor, service and style, it makes up for in the superb location. Centrally situated in close proximity to JR Tower, Sapporo Station and the subway, it is ideal for travellers keen to get up, out, and take on Sapporo. An abundance of excellent restaurants and shopping are a short stroll away including Paseo Mall, Daimaru Department Store and Tokyu Department Store Food Court. Truly an old-world ambience that transport guests back in time. This is the true truth as I say it as it is……
First time visiting Sapporo and so glad we made the choice to stay at the Sapporo Grand Hotel. I always like staying at old hotels, and the Grand was celebrating 85 years. The hotel, established in 1934, is very comfortable and modernized. The room was very spacious and we liked being on the top floor - perfect spot for watching it snow over the former government building. Excellent location and walking distance to everything … including the Sapporo Snow Festival activities. Breakfast options were great and the free flow of Hokkaido Milk was greatly appreciated. The staff are friendly and very much accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to a return visit.
Sapporo Grand hotel is centrally located 10 minutes walk from the central train station and 5 minutes from the ODORI park for the Snow Festival in February. All the walking can be done in underground streets. Breakfast is a good combination of Japanese and western food.
Loved the lobby of this place, great for big groups and close to the Sapporo Tv Tower. Has Train access on the basement floor. It is great for big groups, has a starbucks in the building and the breakfast options are great!
