I don't understand why this is raved about. I felt the Japanese choices to be poor. It's better to go to Nijo market for tons of Japanese breakfast choices if you are going to be up early. The streets of Sapporo are nice to walk among in the early AM before everyone is off rushing to work.

Good thing : 10 Min walking from Train Station. Check inn was quick , Rooms a bit small but that how it is in Japan. Quiet in center , walking distance to many places . No Onsen , but for rest all in all a place to stay !

My daughter and I went to Sapporo at the end of Jan 2017. Grand Hotel is located in the heart of Sapporo city. It is within walk-able distance (through the underground pedestrian road) from the JR train station that connects to the Chitose airport. The airport shuttle bus also stops at the hotel but you must allow 1.5 to 2...

Having spent two nights in the annex and one night in the main building I feel I have reasonable grounds to comment on my stay overall. Upon arrival at the front desk I leant over and whispered in my partner's ear, "Can we afford this?". The front desk is well manned by numerous staff and supporting porters. So much marble...

The Grand in Grand floor is very modern, service professional, and club lounge extremely relaxing. Good selection of drinks, canapes, and reading material. Wifi is very quick. Breakfast at the hotel are amazing. Highlights are the milk and apple pie. Rooms are modern and well equipped. Excellent room service.

We stayed in Sapporo Grand Hotel for 2 nights, early January this year. We booked a Queen non smoking room. We tried to request smoking room and the receptionist agreed to give us. The room is small and average. Free Wifi. The price for the room is quite steep for a Grand hotel. Maybe it is because it was located...

Great location hotel. About 15 minutes good under ground walk from JR Station. Note to be mistaken for the exit from underground to the hotel. It's not exit 8 but rather look for big wall sign no. 8. Many shops and restaurants along the way to the hotel. Reasonable room size and convertible sofa into queen size bed. Location is...

Direct access from the hotel to the underground walkway (exit 8) that links northwards to Sapporo Station (10 mins), or southwards to Tanukikoji/Aurora shopping areas and also to Susukino. This means you can get from New Chitose Airport to the hotel (by train) without worrying about the weather. The other option is to take the Airport Limousine Bus (Chuo-bus) which...
