Pros: 10-15 mins walk from JR station. Very close to 3 major tourist spots by walk. Receptionists were all very helpful and can speak english. Cons: We had a hard time locating which exit to use from the main station. Please use SOUTH exit. The room is tiny for 3 pax. We could not open our luggage.

Stayed here for 2 nights. The buffet breakfast is excellent with seafood and wide range of choices. Location is fantastic within walking distance to Sapporo Station, shoppings and lots of restaurant food choices close by. We requested 2 rooms close together and staff arranged that for us without issue. Room was on the small size but OK for 2 in each room. Hotel offered umbrella to customers for snowing days. Overall, it was a good value hotel for family.

Recently stayed 4 nights in Nest Hotel Ekimae in Sapporo. The room reservation had been changed from a double bed to twin beds. The price more than doubled to USD $220 per night. The floors in room, hallway and bathroom and coverlet for bed were very dirty. There was no room service for this price or breakfast. The most positive thing that can be said is, the location was good. It was the most expensive and dirtiest hotel where we stayed in our 2 week visit to Japan. I highly recommend choosing another place to stay.

We got there, the place reeked of cigarettes. We had asked for non-smoking, and it still smelled like cigarettes in our room so we walked away and lost our money. Would not recommend staying there. The place is terribly dated and run down (throwback to the 70s anyone?) We arrived after a 5 hour trip and wanted to take a shower... Guess what? No hot water until 7pm because of an accident! Staff couldn't tell us this in english and had to use google translate. Absolutely unacceptable! Stay away!

The hotel was well-located near the JR station (approximately 10 mins walk) and the check-in/checkout process was smooth. The breakfast was sumptuous/generous in the quality and spread. I also appreciated the staff's effort in preparing a small gift for my toddler. On the flip side, the room was small and difficult to navigate with two large luggage. It is only possible to get off the bed on one side, so be warned. Apparently it was possible to park within the hotel (not sure if charges are applicable) but the car must be of the small variant (1200cc and below - which rules out most models on the rental market). There is a paid carpark beside the hotel, which costs 1200 yen/night if you're a hotel guest (discounted price). The staff also needs to be better trained for emergencies. There was a fire alarm that went off on my level and the staff on scene (around 3 of them) did not appear to know what they were doing/supposed to be checking. The announcement told us to evacuate but the staff told us to wait at the rooms while they checked out the entire level (which was not huge, just one hallway that everyone could see one another). It took almost 20 mins for them to deactivate the alarm. While the announcement in Japanese was adequate (could understand some Japanese), the announcement in english was terrible and not at all reassuring. (It told guests that the staff believe that it was a false alarm but they were not entirely sure.......) The hotel urgently needs to ensure its staff are well equipped to handle such emergencies, and have prepared and well-translated statements if it is not possible to ensure that a staff with an adequate proficiency in english would always be available/on duty at all times.

When we arrived, the temperature was -18C. Unusually cold. So I was especially grateful for the 18 place indoor parking. There was a small charge for the parking (Y1200) per night). Worth every yen!! The hotel is located a short walk from the snow sculpture park, TV tower, trams, etc. And access to the underground walkway system is close-by. Our double room and bathroom was tiny, but adequate. On arrival we were informed that our room would not be cleaned. Only new towels would be provided every day and the garbage collected. I was not too happy about this. WiFi in the room was OK. There was also a small TV that we never turned on, and a fridge. There was a drinks vending machine on each floor. A 7/11 was close to the hotel. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and attentive. Especially when we had a problem with our rented car. They called rental company and arranged for the car to be fixed. The first day we went for breakfast, there was a massive queue. So we ate in a cafe close-by the hotel. The second day we went earlier and did not have to queue for breakfast. However we were disappointed by the food and on the third morning, we chose to eat elsewhere again. In summary, economy hotel, adequate, helpful staff. Indoor parking, great in the winter!!

Booked a Standard Double Room for 5 nights for a total of $1603.76 from Feb 6-11. When I was searching for hotels this was the only hotel that was available almost a month out from our trip, and so when I saw they only had 2 rooms left I booked immediately even though the room was a Smoking room (and I've already quit). When I arrived I realized they had another room available which was non-smoking and was listed for $1100 for the 5 nights. I was able to switch rooms however it was too late to get a price adjustment. If you're a non-smoker, quit smoking recently and are trying to stay away from the smell, or just don't like the odor of smoke, be warned that the elevators almost always smell like smoke. For the price paid it honestly leaves a sour taste, even though the breakfast is amazing, the staff is friendly, and the location is good. The room is extremely small and the WiFi was slower than my international phone's internet. When I mentioned this to the front desk they supplied Pocket WiFi however this was just as slow. Our sheets were stained, and they don't clean the room unless you stay for multiple days and even then they would only clean it once. The space is so small we ended up not having it cleaned at all because our belongings were everywhere. There are no drawers or cabinets, only a small small closet. They require you to give them the room key before you leave the hotel every day and therefore you also need to pick it up on your return to the hotel every day. The key also powers the room, so if you plan on leaving and charging batteries or transferring media to your laptop while you're out you won't be able to. The shower head is nice, there's a small fridge that will stay on without the room key, there's a small TV, and they supply toothbrushes/razors/combs. The entire street is covered in snow and not shoveled, so if you have luggage take that into consideration. I would highly recommend using a luggage forwarding service if possible. There is an underground passageway from Sapporo station that will get you closer to the hotel, and from there it's only a 4 minute walk above ground where those streets are shoveled. Then you just have the one street that isn't, where the hotel is located. We paid a little more for a room at least 4-5 times the size in Tokyo (Cerulean Tower), with an amazing view, an actual bathroom, centrally located, and tons of amenities. If you're looking for a relaxing place to come back from a cold day out, this is not it.

The triple room was basically a double twin room with another bed shoved in the middle. You can see the power sockets which was just on top of the middle bed. The space was horrendously small for 3 ladies, and we only have 1 luggage each. We have to walk like a crab at the side of the beds. For the price, it was not value for money. Location wise was the only saving grace. Walking distance between Sapporo train station/subway and Odori subway. It is actually nearer to take to Odori subway then to walk from Sapporo train station. Interesting fact. The hotel is in the beautification zone, so that means no smoking on the streets. If you like a puff, you would need a coffeeshop with a smoking area. The nearest is Tully's. The hotel staff was very efficient and friendly thou.

When I got the price of 2 rooms for 6 people converted to U.S dollars, the total came to $1.400, a shocking amount for a hotel catering to students and children’s adventures. (When I arrived, I was followed by college age students and 10 children on a field trip, I assume.) Hotels.com showed that the most for rooms at this 2 to 3 star hotel ranged from $134 to $156. Of course I tried to negotiate but to no avail. However, the front desk hostess did reduce our rate for Saturday night from $350 to $280 and then to $180 for Sunday night, but she was friendly and patient with our requests. The reason for the 3 star rating stems from the rooms’ smokey, stale smell and dirty bathrooms—hair on the toilet and on the sink and floor. For the price I was paying I expected much, much better. Had I been charged in the $70 to $160 range for such average rooms, my review would be positive. In short, the cost for such average rooms was not warranted. (I had a friend book for me, so this was my fault for not seeing immediately the listed price for rooms and comparing the cost to the quality.)

We stayed at Nest hotel which was about 8- 10 minutes walk away from Sapporo station. As we had a really large luggage to lug with us, It took us about 15 minutes to reach the hotel by foot. Although the pathway was generally flat, it was quite effortful to pull the luggage up and down the unlevelled icy road nearing the hotel entrance. It was snowing daily when we were there on 29 jan 2018. The design of the room was a modern good size room with twin bed. The room temperature can be control with a remote for air-con. There was not enough space to open 2 really large luggage simultaneously. It can be done if one of the large luggage is open at the entrance of the toilet. Basic toiletries such as shampoo, body soap, soap sponge, toothbrush, hair brush, hair dryer and shaver were provided. There was a small bath tub with good supply of warm water for shower as well as to wash our hands. There was a mini fridge for storing of food. The wifi was usual and not strong. There was a need to reconnect wifi again once your hp is off. The hotel allow luggage hold after check out of the hotel.
