Spent 3 nights at Hotel Hokke Club Sapporo and found it to be perfect. Strategically located between the Sapporo station and Odori Park, just meters away from the Sapporo Clock Tower and Sapporo TV tower. Hokkaido Government building and Botanic Gardens are very close by too. One can also walk right up to the Sapporo Beer Museum and down to the Tanukikoji Shopping Street. It was beautiful walking around with the snow around but can be slippery at times. Many shopping malls in and around the Sapporo station. Staff were very polite and friendly. Room was small as expected in Japan but clean and comfy. Very happy with the hotel and highly recommended.

My mistake booking a smoking room, unfortunately could not put us in non smoking was booked out, however they moved us next morning with no reminding. Much appreciated as a smoking room in Japan makes an ash tray smell fresh. Gag. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best, and another reason we like hotels in Sapporo as they try that bit harder. Salads crisp, scrambled eggs soft and very yellow, and juicy.Snow crab and egg custard perfect, and morish. Miso soup full of flavour, not watered down. Really the whole meal, in almost tapis plate style, was the best we have had in the many trips we have done to Japan. The Onsen is really a hot pool resembling an Onsen, but still better than nothing, and soaks the tired muscles in hot water. Love the shampoo bar (tried the "protect" brand and the menthol really warmed up my head, thought what hair I had left, might just leave too - but all was well). A nice scrub down offering more room than the rooms bathroom, so hot tub area very good. Would recommend, and so close to JR etc. via underground mall (winter bonus). We have always stayed down Suskino area, so appreciate being closer to central Sapporo.

This hotel is mainly catered for Japanese so I can strongly feel the discrimination of service. Japanese are well treated with care while foreigners who look like Chinese (even though I'm Singaporean) was given a cold shoulder. One plus point is that there's a hot bath within the hotel, coupled with a good location that is near the Sapporo JR station. Given the choice, I won't be staying here again.

I enjoyed staying in this hotel very much. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel's location is very convenient for getting from the station, sightseeing or shopping. There are plenty of reasonably-priced restaurants and convenience stores around. The room was a good size by Japanese standards, and very clean. The hotel's hot bath was basic but offered a true Japanese experience. Overall a very hospitable place to stay in Sapporo.

We chose this Hotel as it was reasonably priced during the Snow Festival period and half way between the Sapporo Train station and the Odori Park (where the Snow Festival was located). Our room was small (typical in Japan) and clean. The room contained a fridge, desk, hanging pegs and a double bed. The foyer is clean and quite open with a new red awning over the entrance. In the basement was a communal bath and a restaurant serving breakfast (we did not have time for either). Value for money and easy access for the Odori Snow sculptures just a couple of blocks away.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. When booking it was my third or fourth preference, and I only booked this when I missed out on other hotels. But for the price this hotel is really incredible. Several blocks from Sapporo train station, very close to multiple restaurants and convenience stores. The room we got was large by Japanese standards, with a very large bed and ample room for luggage. The only downfall was no room safe. Despite this being an older hotel, it was more than modern enough for us and very clean and well appointed. The reception staff even speak some English. The air con is powerful, there is ample floor space for multiple luggage pieces plus a full size wardrobe, and the bed was very large. Kettle, good hairdryer in room, plus button-up yukatas that are convenient. The room is impeccably clean. It is only a few blocks walk from anywhere you'd want to be - the trains and subways, restaurants, convenience stores, Odori Park. I would definitely stay here again. Well done Hokke Sapporo.

Me, my husband and my parents stayed at the Hokke Club in Sapporo and we all a very enjoyable stay. It is very clean, good service, nice public bath and fantastic location! We even used the public bath even if it's just regular water and not a mineral onsen. We didn't have anything to complain about. Pros: - location. Short talk to JR Sapporo Station (a lot of food, and the JR Tower Observatory) - Walking distance to Odori Park and Susukino district for nightlife and more bars/restaurants - The Bus to the Sapporo Beer Garden is right outside the hotel - Walking distance to the Clock Tower plus tram stop to get to Mt. Moira - Strong, reliable wifi Tips: - before visiting the JR Tower observatory make sure to grad a coupon from the reception/brochure area. I believe there is also a coupon for the Mr. Moira ropeway as well - Consider getting the Tram Pass for one day. I way is 240Y and a day pass is only 300Y. You get your money back if you just take a roundtrip ride. - Ask reception desk to make a beer garden reservation for you

Hotel has got free onsen. But I feel the onsen is not as good as the others in furano, lake Toya etc. maybe it’s the quality of the water? But the facilities were good, like they have free lotion etc. As for the room, it’s a usual Japanese small room, which was what we expected. Nothing good or bad. Just that the location, atho considered near to Sapporo station, in winter, it feels like it’s 10-15min dragging your luggage in the snow and cold. Would consider this if I’m staying in other seasons. Or perhaps stay in susukino. But if in winter, will recommend a nearer Hotel to Sapporo station if u have a big luggage.
