Great experience! The room was very nice, roomy and the outdoor garden also add Japanese feel. They also offered us to book the private onsen room since we did the check in. The private onsen was great, very nice and well maintained (the onsen was extremely hot!!) The staffs were extremely polite and treat you very special. Recommended.

Can you imagine the room costed USD 500 per night but without any meal? neither dinner nor breakfast, it's unbelievable!! And the restaurants the hotel recommended is very pricy, too, and not friendly for the foreigners. They don't know how to serve people who doesn't speak Japanese. We spent USD 150 for 2 persons but not felt full after the...

Before Taketoritei Maruyama in Arima Onsen, I'd stayed in onsen hotels in Hakone, Lake Toya and Kyoto which were all good. But I must say TM has been my best experience so far. Everything was excellent. From online reservation to shuttle bus pick-up upon arrival in Arima Onsen, to hotel welcome, to room, to public and private onsens, to meals...

My wife and I had stayed one night in this hotel, it already made us very satisfied. The reason we picked this hotel is their complimentary private hot springs, there are 7 different styles of outdoor and indoor for your consideration. We had tried two of them in outdoor which have both “gold and silver soup” at night and morning,...

Spent a night at this Onsen in Dec 2014 with my wife and two children. It was a very enjoyable stay. It was easy to get there. We took the train to the Arima Onsen station from Osaka ( stopped at Kobe to eat the delicious Kobe beef) and just as you exit the barriers, there is a coin operated...

We struggled before booking this hotel because of its relatively higher room rate, but we both agreed that we made the right choice now. The onsen resort was designed as traditional Japanese style, and the facilities were quite new. They offered both the gold and silver hotspring type, which was only available in a very limited onsen resorts in Arima....

A great choice, though quite expensive, if you want to stay one night in the hot-spring resort of Arima Onsen : beautiful japanese style apartment, kaiseki dinner and breakfast (there is a supplement for this option) and especially the possibility to book a private bath for 45 minutes, included in the room charge. We actually choosed two different outdoor bath...

Stayed one night in a room with both western twin bed as well as option for Japanese style bedding. A very spacious room with 2 toilets! The dinner which came with the room was of high quality, particularly the Firefly squid, tofu, Kobe beef and citrus jelly desert. The private onsen bath was excellent. The shuttle bus service to the...

Nice private onsen. Room is outdated with very tiring decoration. For US$700 a night, it is very pricy and not really worth it from all aspects. Overall Arima is a pretty 'old' and small town, we enjoyed the onsen but can't be bother to stay at Arima for more than a night. By the way, the hotel's website mentioned that...
