Stayed here for 2 nights. Very good location, less than 5mins walk away from JR Kyoto and Shinkasen station. Room is small as like other Japanese hotels. But everything I needed is available. Room, bedsheets and toilet are clean. There are vending machines and washing machines on certain floors if you need to buy drinks or do your laundry. Staff...

We have been staying in this hotel for over ten years whenever we traveled to Kyoto. The location of this hotel was perfect because of its nearness to the JR Station and the room size was a bit larger than other business hotel in Japan. Hotel charges were reasonable and it varied according to season. Yen 1000 for breakfast buffet...

Right next to Kyoto Station and all its various restaurants and shops. The furniture's a little dated but clean, though the bed is hard. The sofa in the room makes it feel a little more homely. I was able to check in early when I arrived, and staff were happy to look after my luggage the day I checked out...

The location is right next to Kyoto station. There are quite a few places to shop and to eat. The price is reasonable based on its location. The wifi is free and good to have. The room is clean and with windows with natural sunlight. The space is standard for Japanese hotels--reasonable for small size people, but too small for...

Great accommodation and really close to the train and subway station so was very convenient. You have to remember to grab your amenities from downstairs before you got o your room. Stayed at the El Inn for 3 nights and then an extra night on a different tariff. Good location and friendly staff. The first stay was excellent: Nice room with a small sofa and breakfast included. Staying in Southern Kyoto

Neighbourhood Profile
Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.
