The hotel is only a oneminute walk from Hankyu Shijo Omiya station, Randen Omiya station, and ten minutes by taxi from Kyoto staion. There are train stations and bus stops nearby, so it is easy to go sightseeing, eating out and shopping. You can get to Arashiyama that is famous for Bamboo forest and Togetsukyo-Bridge by Randen Omiya station. It is ten minutes' walk to Mibudera-Temple that assosiate with the Shinsengumi (the new squad of Samurai), and to the Nijo Castle that is the world heritage if you walk a little more. We selected a good quality bed and amenities such us towels and nightgowns to offer a comfortable stay for all guests. The bed named ""Maro"" is the original brand that was codeveloped with Simmons. You can experience such a comfortable sleep only in Hotel M's Plus Shijo Omiya. Shampoo, hair rinse and body wash are series of ""DHC olive gold""and these are popular for refreshing smell. Several types of tasty and freshly baked breads are offerd for free every morning. Good break fast gives you energy for a biginning of the day. ※From October 2018, Kyoto City has made it mandatory for guests staying at hotels in Kyoto City to pay an "Accommodation Tax". Please note that the tax is paid separately upon check-in. (Per person per night, less than 20,000 yen: 200 yen, 20,000 to 50,000 yen: 500 yen, 50,000 yen or more: 1,000 yen)

I stayed here for 8 nights in November. I booked it because of the location...central, but not in a noisy area. The hotel is across the road from the Randen Omiya Station (for Arashiyama) and also across the road from Shijo Omiya station. It's on many bus routes too. It's a 6/7 minute taxi from Kyoto station or if you time it right, a 15 min bus ride. I received a warm welcome when I arrived and every time I went in or out during my stay. That was nice. My room was expectedly small, but had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the room had a window I could open (hate staying in hotels where I can't have fresh air). The only thing that let it down was the cleanliness of the room...it was dusty when I arrived and this wasn't dealt with at all during my stay. The hotel offers a free breakfast of coffee and pastries, but I didn't have it once during my stay as it finished before I was up and dressed. It would be good if it finished at 10. I would stay here again.

Overall very good experience! ROOM: small but had everything (eg fridge, hairdryer, desk with lights and usb). Bathroom was also small. Always clean with free bottles of water given to us. SERVICE: great service. Always polite and with good English skills. Possibility to leave luggage for a few hours after check-out. Check-in/out are easy. Big hallway. Breakfast can be included too, which includes at least 8 types of breads and drinks (eg coffee, juices, milk). Very nice. They have vending machines and a laundry service. LOCATION: conveniently located close to the metro and the bus stop, reaching all main locations across Kyoto. Clearly convenient!

This hotel has a great location - close to buses, subways and within walking distance of several places to visit (Nijo Castle, Nishiki Market). The room was clean and well-appointed with a bidet (warm toilet seat!!), slippers and pajamas. Bottled water was available daily in the small refrigerator in the room. Breakfast consisted of pastries and verious coffee drinks. There are convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance.

Unbelievably nice! Great location, sparkling clean, comfortable, friendly staff and absolutely chic. I arrived at 1.00 p.m and although check-in isn't before 3.00 p.m., the staff voluntarily told me that my room was ready and I was free to use it. I mean this was a really nice touch to the whole experience. Staff were all friendly and helpful. There are free-rental umbrellas at the front door area so you don't even have to buy an umbrella. The location is amazing! Once you get out of the Hankyu station, it's right there! all other bus stations and the Randen train which takes you to Arashiyama and bamboo forest are all like across the street, literally. Right next to this hotel there is the most favorite bar of mine in Kyoto; WTe. Make sure you check it out. I can't wait to stay again there. My only take is their breakfast because, for such a hotel, breakfast shouldn't only be bread and coffee. I think there must be a proper buffet breakfast or something of the sort.

This hotel has a lovely entrance where you are met with very friendly staff, the decor and design is quite quirky and enjoyable to look at and is in a good position for accessing transport to explore Kyoto. The rooms are very small and the bed was not the most comfortable but was in no way horrendous, the bathroom was again very small but serviceable and the laundry facilities were quite useful. The buffet breakfast is worth skipping. Personally I wouldn't stay again but in no way a bad hotel.
