Visited with 3 persons, Two adults and one adult child. Paid for a premium room with breakfast. The room would be fine without 3 ppl. Had all the amenities and nice clean setup. There was literally no place to move (saw a review that woman...More
We stayed at this property for 3 nights and loved it! Our triple room with 3 separate beds was on the women's floor. The room was spacious enough, great bathroom amenities and fresh pajamas each night! The location is very convenient for sightseeing and restaurants...More
Lovely hotel, ideally situated in the middle of Kyoto. Generally good facilities but why do Japanese hotels think everyone lives out of a suitcase - small hanging space and NO drawers to unpack after nearly two weeks of touring!
We had booked a 5 night stay in Kyoto and decided that the standard double was just too small for this length of stay so we paid to upgrade to a corner room on the 9th floor which was very generous in size. Excellent bathroom....More
I have rated the hotel "very good" but that is because we upgraded our room to a junior suite. The location is really good - you can reach all the key sites by bus or subway from outside the hotel. Loads of good restaurants nearby....More

No district of Kyoto is quite as representative of its blended nature as the City Center. By day, the covered shopping arcades along Kawaramachi and Shijo Street bring deal hunters and fashionistas out in droves to peruse the clothing, accessories, gifts, and home goods offerings. When it grows dark, the City Center is a hip spot for nightlife, alive with bars and clubs. A trendy culinary scene and an abundance of
local watering holes give the Center its youthful vibrancy. In contrast, the quieter areas of the City Center seem a world away, shielded from noise by the foliage of the public gardens and zen spaces surrounding the area's shrines, castles, and the Imperial Palace. These ancient and sacred spots are seamlessly folded into the scenery, providing a respite from the energy of the city, but close enough to put you directly back onto the pulse of the city when you're ready.
