We booked a room for our visit to Kyoto for two nights for our vacation. The service was above and beyond what we could have expected, and helped us feel right at home. The room is beautifully decorated and lead out to an amazing garden in the courtyard. The ryokan itself is a beautiful traditional building and picture worthy in...

This place was absolutely amazing and one of the most unforgettable accommodations I've ever stayed at. I almost cried when I was shown our room because it was so beautiful, not kidding. We enjoyed Seikoro's traditional Japanese breakfast at a time of our choosing, which was a delicious and amazing experience. I read other reviews that it's worth it to...

My boyfriend and I stayed 1 night at the Ryokan. This was our first night in Kyoto after several crazy nights in Tokyo. It was really nice to be taken care of from the moment we left our shoes out front until we were out of sight when we left. I did quite a bit of research on Ryokans before...

Our stay at the Seikoro Inn was absolute relaxation from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Our room attendant and all staff were so patient and courteous with us. The food was amazing as was the public bath downstairs. We both felt like we were at a luxurious spa! We will always make a point to stay...

I'm glad we did it! The Ryokan experience is not to be missed. The staff did a wonderful job of walking us through what do. The space is really pretty. You feel like you've entered into another time. Overall we enjoyed it and laughed a lot. My main complaint would be there is definitely a lack of privacy which was...

If you really want to unplug and unwind, stay here for a night. Yes, they have internet and there was a tv in the room if you really need it. From start to finish, we were taken care of like family. Our room attendant showed us around, explained how everything would work, then made us fresh tea. We relaxed and...

Me and my friend had stayed for two nights. from the moment we took off our shoes at the door we felt welcome. The building was very traditonal, just what we wanted. Check in was fast and very friendly. We got taken to our room where everything was explained and the extras we could have also all the tourist must...

This is one of the few ryokans to take bookings over the internet. Their level of English meant that our stay was comfortable and easy. The futons are comfy, and we were served hot towel and local snack plus green tea each day. We didn't brave the same sex open bathhouse, and opted not to eat at the ryokan. Would...

It was my first stay in the Ryokan and quite phenomenal experience. The traditional building seems very old and surrounded by bamboo walls. When we arrived the Ryokan, they assigned our dedicate staff. She was very friendly and always smiling (Some people might think that it is too much) and also keep make atmosphere lively. My wife quite good to...

Stayed at Seikoro while visiting Kyoto for two nights. I wasn't too sure what a Ryokan was to be honest, but my daughter wanted to try it so we did. Still for the price they charge, I felt they could have done something to make the rooms more comfortable. Part of the problem was that the rooms are fairly small,...
