If you were looking for the hot spring or the Japanese style shower, you may be disappointed, but if you were looking to stay a night of accomodation the Japanese style and enjoy traditional Japanese dinner, then you won't be disappointed. I was rushed to check-out with my mom after a good night's stay. We wanted to have our breakfast... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Seikoro! We were coming to the end of our tour of Japan and decided to stay in a traditional Ryokan for two nights before heading back to Tokyo for our flight. The staff at Seikoro were so friendly and helpful, even providing extra umbrellas and helping to dry our shoes after a nasty downpour!... More

We felt like special guests in someone's home. This ryokan was lovely with the best quality being such a warm, welcoming, and respectful staff. Bonus was the private garden view and in room wooden bath. Good location with nearby local subway station. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, authentic ryokan with the most charming and helpful hosts. Our room opened up to a zen garden. We enjoyed a delcious breakfast served in our room. A little out of the way but can walk to Gion. I would definitely stay again.

The overall experience and hospitality was great - I just think you can get the same experience at a cheaper rate. The traditional dinner was good and breakfast as well. Staff was more than kind and helpful.

If you get the chance to stay at any Ryokan I would strongly recommend it, but if you can manage to stay at the Seikoro Inn you will not regret it. When you first arrive you will be greeted by the staff as a long lost friend as they welcome you. You remove your shoes at the front door (every... More

Staying at Seikoro was meant to be the highlight of our family visit to Japan, and it both was and it wasn't. To stay here is a bit of a lottery; depending on if your room is in the original building, with garden views, or in the 'new' wing, with none. We missed out, and being taken to our room... More

The service here was truly outstanding. The attentiveness level is off the charts. They make the Four Seasons seem like a Motel 6. Every day, when we returned to our room, they would immediately bring tea and cookies, and the food is incredibly good. One evening we returned to our room and they had brought our bottle of sake on... More

I stayed one night at Seikoro Inn. The inn itself is very cute and timeless. You can tell it has some wear and tear but not to be considered a bad thing. It is original and authentic. The rooms was fine. My only reservation was the staff was not very communicative - all other hotels I stayed at in Tokyo... More
