We are spoiled and stayed in grand places while we Japan. While the location here is great, the rooms are small, dated so much they seem less that clean. Honestly it was merely a place to lay our heads at night. The beds weren't comfortable and we had a view of the parking lot. The downstairs bar and Japanese restaurant...

This was our first stay at the hotel. It offers excellent value, 3 good restaurants, and very comfortable rooms (although pillows and beds were not to our exact liking - a little hard). The team running this hotel are superb - warm, friendly, very experienced and professional. It is well located, being only 10 or so minutes walk from the...

this is my second stay at this hotel and judging by the busy guest activity, this hotel pleases many people. nice modern decor, great food, a good location. in my opinion the hotel shines due to good staff who like to please. this time i experienced courtesies such as late checkout, generous wine pours, smiles and help at reception and...

We had a perfectly pleasant but unremarkable stay at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto. The hotel is clean and reasonably attractive but the rooms are EXTREMELY small. The service was professional but lacked any warmth. We were there over the new year holiday and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. Nonetheless, they followed through on all of our requests and nothing material...

Just one day into our 5-night stay, we already felt like the entire staff knew us by name. The friendliness and care we received from the front desk, the super-pro concierge desk, and even bell boys, were genuine and unparalleled. I had arrived quite sick, a fact that quickly spread, and kind inquiries into my wellbeing (as well as suggestions...

Check-in, door and concierge staff were all great but..... King bedrooms are small and the bathroom was not designed well. While the toilet is in a room with a door, the sink doesn't have a door and the bath/shower is all in one room - literally the shower just flows onto the stone floor next to the bathtub, with the...

Beautiful grounds and lobby. Rooms are modern Japanese style and the window opens yay! We had drinks in The Touzan Bar where masterful bartenders put on a show making cocktails for guests Great location if you don't mind a little walking...train 10 min walk, convenience stores 5 min and across the road from Kyoto National Museum Would stay again.

This is a nice hotel with everything you would expect from staying at a Hyatt. The service was great at most times. The receptionist was very helpful with dinner reservations and recommendations for things to do, but there some aspects I wasn't entirely happy with. For example, they are very strict about when the bars and restaurants close. One night...

(december 2016 make dumbest decision by staying at WESTIN MIYAKO 1970's theme hotel which make me unwelcome at kyoto) - room is very clean & modern japanese theme, great sunlight & bathroom - crazy over the top...
