We stayed with the family two days in this nice hotel, that is centrally located in Nagano. The rooms are modern and clean. The onsen is great. One outside, one inside, a cold bath and a sauna. Between 21:30-23:00 you get a complementary ramen soup in the restaurant. We arrived in the weekend, and than it is not possible to reach the hotel by car. We had to walk with our luggage 5 minutes. Minus: no English speaking staff or English information. We had a lost in translation situation.

Friend & I arrived 2 days after Typhoon Hagibis. I made this booking on the day of arrival due to flight delayed and railroad to Matsumoto was badly damaged. They were so kind to request their property in Matsumoto which I originally booked as non refundable price to refund us. Felt very grateful for this. Hotel is near Nagano station (5 min walk) but away from busy traffic. Room was very clean, Onsen was wonderful especially the outdoor one. Free soba for supper is Dormy Inn’s signature. I really like the partition between the bedroom and bathroom to reduce noise and contain cool air when air conditioner is working. Good design. After this experience at Dormy Inn, hope I can afford to stay with them whenever I visit Japan.

Stayed here 2 nights with a friend to see The Snow Monkeys etc. Great hotel with really good authentic Onsen-such a pleasure after a day out walking. Free Ramen in the evening. Helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms clean and well maintained-also very quiet. No outside noise at all. Great weekend.

I like Dormy Inns, probably my favourite chain in Japan. Stayed 2 nights in Feb 2020. A few mins walk from JR Nagano Station, with all the shops and restaurants nearby. Room was spacious and clean. Love the onsen! Breakfast was not bad, with local dishes like soba and oyaki. Free ramen in the evening. If I'm back to Nagano I will stay here again.

Small hotel, not elegant, but very good prices! Small room, but a comfortable bed and all the usual amenities. Restaurants, a Starbucks, and a convenience store right outside the front door. Free ramen in the evenings. A working laundry. What a deal!
