Pleasantly surprised. Definitely way better than expected. Clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly and professional staff. Great location, close walk to pretty much everywhere. If you will be in Nagano, look no further!!

We stayed here for an overnight to catch train to the monkey park. The hotel is just within a short walking distance to the train station. We checked out at 5 am in the morning and left our luggages at the reception and collected it the next day before heading back to Tokyo, as we did not want to drag the lugggages to the see the snow monkey. So we just packed an overnight bag. They are kind to allow us to leave our luggages till we come back the next day. Nagano is famous for Soba, so dont miss out.

Didn't expect much as I thought it's the usual mid-range Japanese Hotel that is essentially a tiny box of a room. But apart from the very convenient location, the rooms are actually very large for Japan, the free drinks downstairs and nice staff help and the breakfast food and the view from the top whilst eating... great! Would defo stay again if in Nagano, great value. I'd say the bed isnt suuuper comfortable as the only downside.

I have stayed at three hotels in Nagano and the Chisun is by far the best for providing a blend of Japanese and western. Comfortable beds, a pillow menu ( very important here) great location, lovely amenities. Also a small library in the foyer, free coffee, tea & cocoa. A selection of free toiletries for you to take as you wish, and free bottled water in your room. Breakfast was great too. Good room rate makes this place excellent value. Will definitely be back. Almost forgot the massage chair and coffee machine in The room.

Reserved their cheapest room, bed was on small side but room was surprisingly large. Comfortable. Amenities like toothbrush etc. available in lobby, where there is also a coffee machine. Easy walk to train station though alongside parking garages. Very good price, clean and friendly. Breakfast was fine.
