I stayed in this place for a night because I really wanted to experience a capsule hotel whilst in Japan. This one has good reviews and, unlike many, has capsules available for women. They also have a helpful video about dos and don'ts to watch...More
I loved my time here, such friendly and welcoming staff! Very easy to use for the western traveller..
Take your shoes off as you enter and lock them away, take the key to reception to trade for your locker key and pod number.

Hi Anita, Im not sure about the public bathing area or male area but the female area also had a shower room with individual showers you could use. Otherwise you could check the hotel policy as some places that house a lot of foreigners tend to be more lenient. I also have a tattoo on my shoulder and have been to a couple of places that say no tattoos. I just use a small towel to keep it covered best I can and no one has said anything to me.
