I arrived in Osaka at night, so by the time I went there, the shops nearby have already closed (except the karaokes, convenient stores and pubs). That makes my first impression of the neighborhood a little bit.... frightening. You need to pay attention to find this hotel, because it is not that appearing, compare to other buildings next to it.... More

If you are travelling alone, I definitely recommend this place. It was my first capsule hotel ever and I thought it was amazing for what you paid. You leave your shoes at the lockers at the front, and check-in was extremely easy even though I could not speak a word of Japanese. There is a small locker area inside where... More

Traveling on budget? Don't be intimidated with this capsule hotel! We checked out of our big hotel for a night of experience here at Asahi Plaza. Contrary to what most of the people think, staying in a capsule hotel was comfortable and an enjoyable experience. You enter the hotel and have to leave the shoes in the shoe lockers. After... More

Capsule hotels are what they say on the tin- practical and cost effective. It was fun to do for one night. The bed barely had a mattress so staying for linger would have been a struggle, but the novelty was well worth it! As a woman I had a quiet floor as less women tend to stay in them, my... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights for affordable accommodation near the main train stations. The capsule itself was fine, very quiet and comfortable. So my impression of this capsule hotel is not based on the fact that it was a capsule and (naturally) didn't have all the comforts of less budget-oriented accommodation. But even if you're travelling on... More

I would recommend this for a night for tourists in Japan. It is simple, affordable accommodation, definitely not luxurious but for those with a penchant for new experiences or an enquiring mind, check this out.

We were a little sceptical about staying in a Capsule hotel having heard mixed reviews. This was one of the few hotels that was female friendly, although men and women sleep on separate floors. For £15 per person, we thought it was amazing! Upon arrival, we had to take our shoes off and locker them away. If you have a... More

This is a great experience no doubt - location is fantastic, pods are clean, bathhouse is well equipped and spacious. You really can just turn up in shorts and a t-shirt and be ok (walk around pajama's, amenities, towels, laundry all provided) You have to expect the slight smell of feet and snoring if you stay in a place like... Cons: the capsule area can be noisy and the pillow and mattress is not too comfortable. Wifi only in the common area. Pros: Relatively cheap rates at 2900yen per night. They provide clothes to sleep in, toothbrush, shaver and showering items so i can bring less things while travelling. You can hang out in the common area and mingle with... More

“A pair of earplug is necessary if you're sensitive to noise. A large backpack is a better choice than a luggage case, and definitely bring as little as you can. The area isn't the best for solo female traveler (my taxi driver told me the area is 'very dangerous,' but I spent 2 days around the area and nothing bad happened really.)”
