Could not wish for a better hotel to stay at. Slightly larger for a Japanese hotel, roomy shower and toilet. Shower water temp perfect. Location is amazing and lovely walk to attractions. Only 1km from the Osaka train station. Staff are amazing, so helpful and curious. Rooms clean and fresh PJ’s every night. We stayed 9 days, it was so good. Will be staying here next time we come to Japan. Best accomodation for the whole trip so far. By the way, probably best accomodation if you are disabled and need good access. Our room however has a large step up to the shower and toilet. I would ask if they have a disabled setup room. This is a great hotel. Nearly forgot, Starbucks around the corner and the TGIFridays restaurant just down the road has amazing food and service.
We stayed here for a couple of days. The room was clean and super organized. Small, as is usual for Japanese culture - not much moving room. But very clean and had more amenities than required! The staff was super helpful and courteous. Location is superb... one of the subway line is literally 50 feet or so from hotel entrance. Others are few min walk away. Dotonbori shopping district is 20ish min walk. We enjoyed our stay here. Will surely visit again.
I stayed at the Hotel Cordia Osaka for two nights in October, 2019. Hotel Cordia is a well appointed western style hotel in the Osaka Station area, not to be confused with the Osaka-Shin area. It has convenient access to subways and trains, including those accessing KIX airport. My room was quiet and the hotel staff was very attentive.
Booked this place for 1 night only as we were getting in late to Osaka. Arrived at approximately 11pm due to transport issues. When we made the original booking we asked for a late check out, (12 rather than 11) if possible, then when we checked in we asked again if we could have a complimentary late check out (if room was available) so we could rest. This was not a problem with the night shift crew. at 11:30am we received multiple phone calls from the front desk & knocks on the room to get out immediately or they would charge us. We hurried out of the room within 2 minutes (my partner was in the shower mid washing her hair, so came out with soaking wet hair in the middle of their winter) and spoke to reception stating the front desk the night before said 12pm was fine. This was the 1 and only bad customer service experience I had in all of Japan so was very shocked. The woman demanded we pay the extra 30 mins we stayed in the room and if we refused to pay she would charge the credit card on file. I showed her the email asking for late check out and she advised us this was not legitimate & forced us out immediately (my partner still with soaking wet hair asking if we could just use a guest bathroom to dry it off). Other than this one experience, the hotel was in a good locations, walk able from the closest large station, interior was modern and clean. Rooms were slightly larger than average for Japan and the shower & pressure was amazing. However the service we received definitely put a damper in our day & Japan experience which is the reason for low stars.…
I really liked this hotel from the second we got there. The staff are friendly and helpful, and even gave me a free skincare set to use (very thoughtful). There is also a coffee station in the lobby which is free to use. Check in was efficient and the location was ideal (very close to subway stations and walking distance to stores and restaurants). The room was spacious and clean with free bottled water on arrival. Good blinds on the window (our room looked out at a building with an enormous flashing sign so the blinds were useful at night).
