Blown away from start to finish! Sofitel made my memories of KL last forever! An exceptionally clean and modern hotel. Our room was fantastic and the bathroom area was huge! I will not think twice to book again! Price was also affordable!
Breakfast staff were really friendly and so were reception. Housekeeping also very friendly.
Will hopefully be back again! Thank you Sofitel!

Heading straight to the Sofitel KL from Bali was the ideal way to transition from tropical to city life, and Ollie was treated like the little prince he thinks he is. Although we think that we may have spoiled him now that he only wants to bath in Hermes amenities.

We stayed in the Opera Suite with our 1 year old son and had the best experience at the Sofitel from start to finish. Our suite was enormous with grand floor to ceiling offering stunning views of KL and the highlands. The bedroom was kitted out with the most indulgently comfortable bed, along with a cot provided for Ollie. Bonus points awarded for the decent coffee provided in the form of a Nespresso machine and pods.

From smorgasbord breakfast buffets to scrumptious French dining, the dining experiences on offer were second to none. Seriously, the breakfast buffet is AMAZING, probably the best we have ever experienced - the range was incredible.

As fitness lovers we were great fans of the 24 hour gym, of which was super clean and modern with all the latest machines and free weight gear. However, we spent the bulk of our time outside by the large pool. With various shallow sections it was ideal for the little one to paddle around in.

The staff and service were impeccable and we were always greeted with a bonjour and a wide smile. We never felt as if Ollie was an imposition and he was always provided for. We LOVED that they had plastic cutlery, bowls and cups for him and that a high chair could be used anywhere.

We loved our stay and will definitely be back whenever we are in KL. Oh and on a side note: Make sure you visit the SoSPA, it is perhaps the coolest designed spa we have ever been to and the services are to die for. Get a massage and thank us later. The masseuse is like a magician!

When I first stayed in this hotel and wrote a review, I mentioned that this is a great hotel in the making. Well after more than a year and several stays there, I can truly say that it is now a great hotel. The hotel's occupancy rate has been very good and in my last trip, they were fully occupied. Despite this, their service level has not dropped.

After checking in, I wanted to have lunch but there was an event in the hotel. The Chinese restaurant Wan Chun Ting was fully booked and the only place available was Kwee Zeen. When I went to Kwee Zeen, the main hall was booked by the same event organizer. The restaurant supervisor, Ridzuan, asked if it was ok to put me in one corner of the restaurant. I told him it was ok but he took the extra step to ensure that even at one corner, I was properly and promptly look after. He took my order personally and ensure that my food was not delayed due to the large group of customers in the main hall. I was very impressed with his service.

During lunch, I was observing how the restaurant staffs handled such a big group of customers. They were well trained and managed to ensure the tables were cleared promptly so that the guest have the space to put their second and third round of food. Each staff knows the tables they were in charged of and did their duty well.

I had most of my dinner at Nizza, one of my favourite Italian restaurant in the hotel and also in Kuala Lumpur. The only night I could not eat there was when it was fully booked for a corporate event. I will write a separate review of Nizza. That one night, I had dinner at Wan Chun Ting and the food is great. They do not serve pork because they cater to the Muslim customers visiting it. They also do not serve sharks fin soup because they believe in conservation and goes against the principle of the hotel group. Despite having these limitations, their menu has a wide variety of food and every dishes that I had ordered were simply delicious. Most importantly the price is very reasonable.

The room is very clean and well maintained. The bed is very comfortable and firm. Never had any problem getting a good sleep in it. The room service is prompt and they always ensure you have enough mineral water bottles in the room. One thing the hotel might want to take note is that it might be time to change the pillows in the room as they are too soft. Although you could ask for a firm form pillow, I preferred the down feather ones. Keep it up.

Service in Sofitel Damansara reflects its European heritage with a highly personable approach by all the staff members under the leadership of the new General Manager.
This results in bespoke dining experiences and a highly personal approach to guest care.

The hotel was very clean and all the COVID protocols were embedded in the day to day encounters in an unobstrusive manner.

All the facilities in the room functioned well with fast and easy to connect internet, quiet aircon and strong water pressure. A Nespresso Coffee machine was a good addition to the already comprehensive amenity set up.

We loved to dine in the hotel’s Mediterranean Restaurant Nizza. The place serves fresh and deliciously prepared dishes and offers exceptional quality for money, on par with surrounding neighbourhood restaurants. Izzat was always on hand to guide us through the menu and provided a curated dining experience.
Breakfast was buffet style on weekends and a La carte during the week with high quality French pastries and excellent local dishes.

The location in the leafy enclave of Damansara was a refreshing difference from the usual traffic chocked hotels around the KLCC area. Access to the city centre and malls in Mid Valley, Pavilion and KLCC was easy by private car or Grab.

We would definitely return and can highly recommend this hotel to visitors to KL.

We spent 2 nights at the Sofitel for a Staycation holiday. On arrival it was convenient to park at the parking area in DC Mall, took the lift from the parking floor straight up to ground level and we were in the lobby of the hotel. Checking in was smooth, Mr Pierre Lambertyn provided excellent service during our check in, updated us on the hotels facilities and dining options, including benefits we will enjoy during our stay as Accor members .

Our Deluxe room was great, a large room with a super king size bed that was comfortable for 2 adults and a child, with a bathtub and separate rainshower and toilet areas within the shower room section.

We spent our afternoons at the pool deck area on level 3, swimming and splashing around in the pool, a great venue to chill out and have a relaxing time.
We dined at the Kwee Zeen restaurant for our evening dinner, we had local and western dishes, all food dishes we had was delicious , after dinner we relaxed at the Le Bar near to the lobby area with some cold drinks, very peaceful ambiance with comfortable seating space.

Prior to us confirming our Staycation here we did visit the hotel and were greeted by Mr Aizat, and he did provide excellent service too by showing us around on facilities that will be available with the SOP for RMCO that is on going currently. Services provided by staff that we did communicate with at the Front Desk and F&B outlets was good too.

Overall it was a great Staycation for us as a family, and a new dining venue for us in the future when dining out.

I stayed over one weekend at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara. I only chose this hotel because my good friend from Melbourne was staying at this hotel for his holiday.

I stayed at the Club Room which allows me to enjoy the club facilities. The service at the Club Millesime is fantastic. Check in and check out are as smooth as the overall service delivery. The room is spacious but some of the view it may be blocked due to its close proximity to the next door building. The bed is nice but the pillows are rather too soft for my liking.

The toiletry set uses the luxury brand Lanvin which is quite impressive. And the bathroom is very spacious with separate shower and toilet.

As for the breakfast, I love the selection at the main breakfast hall. Especially the bread section. Nice! The food are impressive too. The breakfast at Club Millesime is nice too. Unfortunately, when I wanted to order Nasi Goreng (fried rice), the staff kindly informed me that they are out of it. Maybe it’s due to the timing of my order.

Anyway, it was a good stay for me. But, being a regular traveller to KL, I am likely to choose other hotels, nearer to the city centre.

I feel that the hotel should give complimentary parking to all the guest. Even though the parking charges are not outrageously high, it should be covered under a guest’s privilege.

Bonjour MarsZali, Greetings from Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara! We would like to thank you for taking the time to write a review on your stay with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our hotel, especially Club Millesime. I am happy to inform our Club M Ambassadors about your kind words. Please know that the parking lot falls under a third party, which is why it doesn't fall under a guest's privilege as we have no influence over it. It is regretful to read that you are ''unlikely to be back'' in our hotel because of its location. Nevertheless, we hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future! I checked in some time in August 2020 and was immediately disappointed upon check in as my room was not clean. The coffee table had leftover grains of rice and chilli oil. Behind the curtains, the skirting had dead bugs and oil stains on the glass. By the working table, the chair even had the previous guest's hair. I usually don't get too upset at these but it is indeed a 5* hotel and also during the COVID19 pandemic, where hygiene and cleanliness is of utmost importance. Brought these matters up to a few staff, but they were very nonchalant about it

In the toilet, it sometimes takes 5 minutes for the water to heat up. So don't be surprised if you don't get hot water for a bit. Just leave the tap running on the hottest setting for a few minutes. The bath is a comfortable size for one person and water does not leak. Shower's water pressure is good

The bed is okay. Pillows are extremely soft. King sized bed is actually just two super single beds stuck together making the middle uncomfortable

Room service folks were nice. They provided more water, ice bucket etc upon request

For breakfast, the table was not set completely as it was missing the jam on the tray. I ordered an American breakfast set which includes a basket of bread. Sadly, this wasn't served till prompted. On the second morning, I ordered the same breakfast set and they were out of certain ingredients such as the sauteed vegetables, but servers did not even point it out. They apologised only after being prompted

Stayed as Accor Platinum member, we are truly impressed and satisfied with our stay. We are so excited and cant stop sharing photos with friends and family because overall stay experience is above our expectation.

During covid pandemic time, many hotels in Kuala Lumpur cutting down or some even stop providing member benefits, but SOFITEL KL is the only hotel still providing full benefits.

As Platinum member, we received suite upgrade, early check in, late check out, welcome drink voucher, welcome fruit plate, complementary shoe shining service, complementary garments pressing.

Full club benefits provided at lobby bar, we got refreshments whole day, afternoon tea, evening cocktail, everything as it was like before covid time!

Upon arrival, we received warm welcome by managers Jasmine, Farouk and Eddie, we are happy that everyone we know still here.

Manager Farouk briefed us about the hygiene and safety measures in this hotel, i am impressed that they passed the government audit and external audit and became the first ALL SAFE certified hotel in Malaysia.

We were upgraded to junior suite, a corner room with much larger space than standard luxury room. The sofitel bedding is the best i must say, soft and fluffy, we had a very good sleep. There are pillow menu, guest can request additional soft or hard pillows.

French afternoon tea (Le Gouter) was impressive, we were served a large plate of delicious cakes and pastries, very high standard thanks to the excellent pastry chef.

Evening cocktail (Apero Chic) happy hour is from 6-8pm, they served us a large plate of cheese, cold cuts, hot food platter and desserts. A long list of wine and cocktail selections, free flow!

The breakfast now replaced by menu order with limited options, but we received personalized serivce thanks to restaurant manager Jasmine and team, they really went extra mile to take care of our needs.

After Malaysia government relaxed the movement control i had several disappointing stays at other hotel chain, but Sofitel KL maintained its highest standard and impressed us in every aspect. I am still excited after this stay, and i cant wait to go back again.

Dear Mr Soh, Greetings from Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara ! I would like to express my appreciation to you for writing such a beautiful review, I sincerely appreciate you taking the time sharing you feedback. Your comment is very detailed, and complete, and I am convinced it cannot be anything else than helpful for future guests in our hotel. We are very proud to be the first Accor hotel in Malaysia to get ALL SAFE certification, and your kind words are the best reward you could have offered us for all the efforts made by our ambassadors. Furthermore, carrying on providing the benefits for our Accor members was one of the biggest challenge which came with the Covid-19 crisis. That is why we are thrilled to know that you enjoyed the way we managed to take care of our VIP guests, such as you, regarding especially to our Le Gouter and our Apero Chic. We thank you for your continued support and we are looking forward to welcoming you again during your next stay. Warmest regards, Pierre Lambertyn Guest Experience

1) the check-in queue was very long. I had to wait up to 30 mins before it was my turn to check-in. Even as a Platinum member, there was no dedicated counter provided to speed up the process.

2) the check-in process is long compared to other Sofitel properties in other countries. They can do it within few mins but I am not sure why it took so long at this hotel.

3) I was told the room wasn’t ready and pending for disinfection despite checking in at 3.30pm.

4) the in room safe in my room was already locked when I entered the room. Plus all the TV channels were not available (poor signal described on the tv). I believe all the facilities in the room should be checked before letting the guest to occupy it.

5) the executive lounge was not available and there was no letter or explanation by front desk about this until I asked for it. There was also no explanation about the privileges, amenities that can be extended to Platinum members except for the afternoon tea or evening cocktail. I asked if I can have some drinks during the night time (outside of afternoon tea or evening cocktail hours but was made to understand that will not be possible. My expectation is if the executive lounge is unavailable, there should be similar benefits in lieu.

6) algae and fern were observed on some edges of the swimming pool.

7) the scanner in the lift does not sense the room key card easily

8) no bread basket for each dining table for the buffet breakfast. The croissant was hard instead of being fluffy and soft with buttery taste.

9) parking is very expensive compared to other 5 star hotels, which is usually free or a very nominal fee

10) location is out of place. No shopping centers in the vicinity except DC mall which is still very much but empty
