Stayed for a couple of nights & prior to our stay when we contacted the hotel there was no response at all so we had to go through the booking company. Not a great first impression.

The hotel is not too far from the Masjid Jamek metro stop with easy access to Chinatown & the Central Market.

The lobby of the hotel looks quite nice but the toilets were down a corridor & looked pretty grotty. We could leave our luggage in storage but there is no security as the door isn't locked & anyone can access the luggage room.

There was often just one staff at reception so it was often a long wait if you needed to speak to someone. The lifts are pretty slow too.

When we just arrived, there was a guest complaining about their room so we didn't have high hopes about its quality.

As we had two separate bookings, we had emailed the hotel in advance to merge them so we didn't have to change rooms. This was not done, of course, so while we could stay in the same room, the admin related to the tourism tax had to be done again the next day & the 50 RM deposit transferred to the next day.

The room itself was spacious but workmanship was poor & cleanliness wasn't the best. There was a stain on the toilet which hadn't been cleaned, dust on the surfaces & cupboards, stains on the the bed sheets, a shaky tap at the sink, etc, etc. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided, and one soap, one bottle of shower gel & one bottle of shampoo.

The mattress was comfortable & the pillows were quite thick & soft. We didn't have a bad night's sleep but there was quite alot of slamming of doors in the middle of the night the first night we were there.

We asked for more toilet paper & toiletries the morning of the second day & yet no one had cleaned the room & therefore the items we requested were not replenished. We phoned the reception when we realised this & it was a long wait so we had to phone again to get the things brought to us. Housekeeping is clearly not the strength of the hotel.

Breakfast starts at 7.30am & you get a selection of cooked food - we had fried rice, kuay teow/ bee hoon, eggs, sausages, curry puffs/ veggie patties, beans during our stay. There is bread & a toaster, butter & jam, 2 kinds of fruit a day (we had pineapple, melon, apple & watermelon during our stay), cornflakes, tea, coffee & cordial (mango/ orange).

Breakfast was probably one of the positives of the hotel. The food was pretty decent & you can get your fill before starting the day.

All in all, the stay at Wyndham was pretty average. As a chain, you expect there to be minimum standards for the hotel but it was lacking in a number of areas. There are quite a few hotels at the same price point, so best to shop around! It's not a hotel we will rush to return to anytime soon.

The beautiful facade in the neighbourhood is easily recognizable. It's located beside an Indian temple, yet it is not noisy aside from occasional bell ringing, which I found soothing.

My room was spacious and clean, which overlooked the Maybank Tower. I am glad the toilet comes with a spray bidet with a proper door and lock (not the translucent kind).

Breakfast is so-so. My advice is to come after 730am when the tour groups are done with their breakfast. Internet access is reasonably good.

The front desk is satisfactory ok. Definitely, there's a room for improvement for staffing. Perhaps, minimize chit-chatting when attending to guests. Need more warmth and smile.

We started our eight weeks here and return again tomorrow for a few days before moving on - that says it all!

Clean and modern hotel, reception staff very good and helpful. The location is good, close to Chinatown (5 minutes walk) and also just 10 minutes or so walk from the food street of Jalan Alor.

Good value.

We emailed the hotel last nov. 5 to confirm our booking they didn’t response, the moment we got here they told us we don’t have any bookings, so I asked them if they can contact agoda since the room was charged to us and we also provided the booking confirmation. They didn’t do something and just let us contact agoda so I was charged RM 114 for the roaming call since I don’t have a malaysian sim. Prior to contacting Agoda the manager explained that we don’t have any bookings she also sounded irritated and WAS VERY RUDE, she didn’t even apologized for the inconvenience. Made us feel like the booking discrepancy was our fault without even trying to help us. We waited at the lobby for almost 3hrs then agoda emailed them and confirmed our booking so they gave us a room but before that they told us they don’t have any rooms left. Lol, I am very surprised on how rude she can get. We’ll never go back here. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I have booked a Superior Queen room for us to stay during our first time visit to KL. I have emailed them one day before for the time of my late arrival on 12 Jan, 2023. When I reached the hotel from Airport on 12 Jan night around 11:30 pm the receptionist guy told me that there is some electricity problem at the floor where I have booked the room so they have arranged a room in a different sister property near to KL Sentral. But this was a lie from the end of the hotel like Ramada group as i saw a big group of people came that day in a bus so they have cancelled my booking from there and shifted to a different place. I paid the hotel around 3 months before and this was not expected at all. Anyway then they shifted us to the new place at Metro hotel @KL Sentral. we stayed at that hotel for the rest of the 4 days. This is really frustrating booking in a hotel like Ramada and then they cancelled it without even letting me know. This is completely not a professional behavior's. I don't expect this happened to other people so the hotel must take care all these very professionally.

Location is good in the hart of Kuala Lumpur, good service from the reception team that tried their best to assist me with my missing booking. The lady at reception (I forgot her name) was kind. However I am really disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, it didn’t feel right, I complained to the reception, they sent me the housekeeper to change all linens but still it felt quite dirty..

I am a member of Wyndham, but nobody asked me if I was which should be the standard of Wyndham group.

The Good: Clean hotel and the beds are a bit firm but comfortable. Breakfast included was ok. Bit lacking in variety and a bit bland but did the job. Most of the staff very kind and friendly.

The Bad: Very spotty wifi. Did not work most of the time I was there. I mentioned to hotel and they said they would do something but nothing was done. Perhaps it was my room locaiton but still bad experience nonetheless. Good Wifi is a must these days!

One Staff member was unprofessional, condescending and rude. Looked at me from a distance with a smirky grin. He also presented himself and the hotel badly exposing full arm tattoos. He should work in the cooking area away from Customers. Then again, who knows what he would do with the food. Watch out for him. He is the rude and unhappy looking one with arm tattoos!

The staff upgraded me with deluxe room for free and the staff is so friendly. The room is spacious and from our room we can see the merdeka 118 tower. Near to chinatown. The price is reasonable. However they do not have their own parking space. You need to park at the public parking behind the hotel.

First time staying here, clean, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is quite decent although the choices are limited. Good location near the bus terminal and about 10 minutes walk to the MRT station. Also about 10 minutes walk to Central Market
