The ibis Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel is often praised for its inviting atmosphere, featuring modern rooms and activities like karaoke, which, alongside the stunning views from higher floors, make for a delightful stay. While the cleanliness and amenities, including a rooftop pool, are generally well-received, guests have noted some minor issues with housekeeping and the basic nature of some offerings. The hotel's location is a highlight, offering easy access to attractions, and despite occasional disorganization, the service is recognized as efficient. The rooms, considered clean and comfortable, sometimes suffer from noise disturbances and could use minor upkeep.

The Hotel is in a good position to explore the city, 15minutes walk along the street and you a right in the Centre.
There are a few restaurants and a shop opposite the hotel, taxis outside waiting to take you anywhere and if not the reception will book one for you.
Hotel entrance is welcoming, small cafe/coffee bar in hotel lobby and seating area.
The hotel is clean and .modern.
The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
I only have one issue with cleanliness at this hotel which is you place a card on the bed if you wish your bed sheets to be changed, I only had the room cleaned every other day and on the day I requested the sheets to be changed they did not change the sheets they just made the bed, this happened twice. I can make my own bed so I do not need house keeping everyday to do this.
The Towels were changed when I requested them to be changed although 1 towel per guest I think is a bit poor.
Other than that though the hotel is great
The Skyview Bar is great and the staff in there were 5 star it is thanks to them we enjoyed our stay so much in this hotel, they are a credit to the Ibis.

No doubt this location and affordability of the hotel is a plus points, there were some downside to the night stay.

1) Noise level was terrible from the corridors. You can literally hear people walking, talking and dragging their luggages.
2) We were rudely awaken around 9am from the floor above which I would assumed the housekeeping who had begin their job by maybe mopping the floor with a rock.
3) Despite the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign outside, there was a doorbell for us at 11am which the person shouted "Housekeeping!" but when we looked through the peep hole and opened the door, there was nobody.

Room was decent and Liza from Front Desk was very accommodating to my request but unfortunately the room that was available during my check-in was the closest to the lifts.

Careful with the parking; I would recommend bigger sedans to park outside. The parking is narrow and only can fit an estimate of 15 cars per floor. There's only 8 floors.

RIght off the bat, this hotel is not much to shout about - but good enough when you temper your expectations to a reasonable level.

This hotel is firmly wedged in the budget range so whilst it is good for its location and pricing, you really need to give it a wide berth on everything else it offers. That being said, I still had a very good few nights of rest here. The bed was big and comfortable enough and the room and toilet was clean enough for a bare minimum business hotel standard.

There is a minimart right across the road for all your late night food/drink cravings but being in KL you probably have better food choices nearby. I was here on Day 1 of the Lunar New Year so there was a pretty fireworks display right outside my hotel window.

Hotel also has an infinity pool on the top level, where you can also find a gym and a spa/massage place.

I recently stayed at Ibis Kuala Lumpur City Center and found it to be a comfortable and practical choice for a short visit. The room was clean and well-organized, with a bed that provided decent comfort for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was modern, featuring a rainfall shower and a well-lit mirror that was convenient for daily routines.

The view from the room offered a pleasant look at the city skyline and surrounding mountains, adding a touch of calm to the urban setting. While the amenities were basic, they were sufficient for a value-friendly stay.

The hotel’s central location is a major plus, making it easy to access nearby attractions and public transport. However, some areas of the property could benefit from minor updates to enhance the overall guest experience.

In summary, Ibis Kuala Lumpur City Center is a reliable option for travelers seeking a clean and affordable place to stay in a strategic location. It’s not luxurious, but it gets the job done efficiently.

The lobby is always free of charge cold tea, the room was on the 25th floor with a floor-to-ceiling panoramic window, the view is super. The room has a safe, iron and board, hairdryer, slippers (no bathrobes), brand pen, notebook, tea, coffee, water, kettle, refrigerator, toothbrush with paste. There's no exchanger in the hotel, the nearest one in the towers. Elevator travel by key card only. Pool class. The food is beyond praise, we had breakfast and lunch, very varied, just a lot, everything delicious, ice cream of different kinds, desserts, Chinese, Indian, vegetarian, meat dishes, European, Asian, cakes, tropical fruit, etc. It is located near the Twin Towers. I loved the hotel, thank you!

This was the best equipped hotel I have ever visited, and note that I have mainly stayed in European hotels so far, albeit low-budget ones.

As its name suggests, the hotel is situated right in the city center. It takes 5-10 minutes of walking to the Petronas Twin Towers. You can find everything you need in your room. There were slippers waiting for me, I was supplied with bottled water every day (since you can't drink the tap water), little bags of tea, sugar etc. coupled with a kettle were available, and a hairdryer and all the hygiene accessories were at my disposal. They have universal international sockets where you can plug in anything, so I didn't need the travel adapter I bought previously.

The room didn't have a balcony, but it had a large window (encompassing almost the entire wall) with an awesome view of the city. The lifts were a little bit confusing at the beginning, as you don't call them the common western way, but simply click on whether you want to go up or down. Once in a lift, you are not allowed to go to the floors where the guests' rooms are until you scan your room key, so that is an added security.

WIFI worked well in my room, but in the lobby there were some problems with connection and it always froze my tablet. The reception staff, however, was very polite and helpful. They would call some numbers for me and did other little services. There is also direct transfer from the hotel to any city attractions, airport or wherever you need.

The restaurant is very good and has a large variety of different foods, from Asian to more western. It's on a buffet basis, so you can take whatever you want. I had breakfast included in the price, but if I wanted to have a lunch or dinner, I had to pay, which I occasionally did. The restaurant staff was generally nice and helpful, only one worker seemed to have some kind of problem with me. She always charged me more than others and was somewhat rude and kinda pointed fingers at me for something I never figured out, but oh well, let's attribute that to language barrier.

Overall, this is a very good hotel and the only one so far I rated with the highest rating.

Room was great, bigger than most Ibis. Location was superb. The only l disappointment I felt was that I had dinner at their Kampung Kitchen restaurant. It was an Iftar dinner during Fasting season. I made the reservation and all, and came at 6:30, exactly when they opened. I could not come ahead of time nor at the time I wanted to. The time slot had been decided for me.
As I was peacefully eating, a waitress came to me to pay right there and then and said that I was supposed to pay before I ate.
And that I was rude to eat before everyone else and that I had to wait till 7:20 PM when the fasting time ended.
I asked to put the bill in my room tab, they refused and insisted that I had to make the payment separately and right away. Upon feeling uncomfortable being forced, I insisted back that I would make the payment later when I was done. She yelled at me and blurted out some racism comments—knowing that I’m Chinese and I had no single clue of whatever Fasting traditions. Never had I before had dinner in a restaurant inside the hotel and not only not get any service, but also was treated worse than a criminal.

If you are about to have a hotel business, people are going to come from all over the world and all walks of life, tired and hungry. You have an in-hotel restaurant to feed them, and if you’re to reject them eating at whatever time they are starving, then close them down.

To make the story short, I reported this to the hotel manager who investigated and found out the rude waitress was only a part-timer during peak Eid season. The investigation took hours because no one wanted to take the blame, and the F&B department covered up for her.

The lobby and hotel is very welcoming and beautiful, and has a couple of separate sitting areas.
The room was well-lit and very clean, and the staff was very friendly.
The only slight inconvenience is you could hear the housekeeping staff cleaning the room above and beside you.

I was here for 5 nights with my wife. The rooms are neat and clean and the hotel is well located but dealing with the staff here is a nightmare.

The front desk helpline number of '0' wasnt working. It took 2 days to rectify after multiple complaints.

On day 3 for some reason, the housekeeping staff took away the towels and hand towels placed in our room. It took 3 phone calls and 2 visits to the front desk to get it back. Wow! All because the HK staff we met on the floor refused to help with our request. And we had to bear all this after 9hrs of touring at the end of the day and only for asking towels!!

The HK staff showed Bad behaviour, bad responses to me and my wife, not at all courteous and talking as if he is doing us a favour. The front desk staff is no different. Couple of the girls are good but most of them lack courtesy and a decent way of responding.

The staff here doesn't give a feeling of being helpful or suggestive. Surprising to see such mentality in a tourist city. Some of the other tourists i spoke to in the hotel also had similar issues.

We had breakfast at the hotel only on Day 1 so I don't much to say about it.

Coffee given in the tea maker set is bad.
The bathrooms are a little small in a standard room.

The pool is good.
The overall aroma in the hotel is good.
Air conditioning is good.
Skyline view is good.

Stay here for the location and the price but not for the service.

A really mixed review for this hotel. On arrival to the hotel we were advised that the room prepaid through an intermediary was in fact windowless. The description on the sight was a "standard room" so I would suggest the hotel asks for a little more transparency from these third party sites. Our check in was easy and the room ready early which was greatly appreciated. I didn't mind the window situation, however my the second night noise within the hotel was disruptive to the sleep of our whole group. The duty manager at the time kindly approved a room upgrade with no extra charge to a location in a quiter part of the hotel. We later found out our original rooms were behind the elevator shaft. Upon further research I see these rooms are for budget travellers but budget travellers still need sleep. Rooms were both spotless, and as described above the staff were very responsive to issues so that's a huge positive. The in house restaurant was a great option when too tired to head out and the included breakfast was definitely servicable. Nice pool area and great location. Even in the new room we could still hear the lifts so not sure if there's something flawed in the hotel design. Outside noise was minimal but within the hotel a different story. The courtesy bus was so handy too. Overall some great things about this hotel but also some design flaws that impacted our stay. A big thank you to the staff though for their prompt response to our concerns and housekeeping's honestly when we left items behind in our room shift.

Sure use Grab. But if it’s yoir first time in KL use wither the airport limo or airport taxi as they will be your best guide to KL. Grab drivers are part time uber drivers so their knowledge can be limited.
