We were greeted by Ali at the reception and the entire line of staff made us feel at home immediately. We are a family with 2 small children and were celebrating our Anniversary here. We have been to 5 star hotels before but the friendliness of the staff here and nice suprises definitely wins our heart. A definite 5 star review, and a repeat visitor next time and we will really miss the nice experience... thank you Pavilion Hotel Staffs...

After seeing many decent reviews for Pavilion Hotel, we decided to book a 3D 2N staycation here last minute via Agoda. We thought that this hotel should be alright as many hotels should be motivated to welcome guests again post lockdown, but we left feeling otherwise. 1. When we arrived , the staff at the check in counter asked us if we need any help with the luggages. I find it quite odd because from my past experiences, any staffs will immediately help us without asking us to decide if we need help as we have luggages, stroller and a toddler. At this point I just said we will just handle ourselves since there is also no bellboy around and probably might take awhile. 2. Access to the mall is not convenient if you have a stroller or wheelchair. The nearest lift was closed and we had to carry the stroller up the escalator or go through a stroll in the car park zone which we tried to avoid. Luckily the concierge was helpful enough to help my husband to carry. 3. There was a food delivery guy who came down from the same staying floor level as us on the second day. When I raised the question to concierge, they also claimed that they never seen this guy but immediately assured us they will check as no food delivery guy should be allowed at guests floor. Initially we felt a little anxiety in terms of security. I was only informed that the food delivery guy was a paying guest when we checked out. 4. Walls between rooms at our level is not of the best soundproofing, we had a noisy neighbour slamming door past midnight and I was awakened by the noises and had trouble falling asleep on second night. 5. We received an unpleasant service for our first breakfast at the beginning. Food was served to us really late while others who arrived much later already got their food. When I raised my complain to the restaurant manager at that time, our food came out within 5 minutes. I was informed that they have a lot of order but hotel capacity wasn’t at the fullest though. At the very least, they could have sent me a bowl of cereal for my toddler first which definitely don’t need to take more than 30minutes to arrive. No one was outside the courtyard area where we were seated standing by and I had to even walk to raise our issues. Immediately after that, they sent us complimentary pastries first. The team had tried to make up to us with face to face and written note apology, colouring kit for my toddler, and another decorated dessert platter in the evening. Thank you very much for the rectification efforts. We could not go down for breakfast the second morning as my partner was down with vomiting and we had in room breakfast. Breakfast was warm and fast enough compared to the first morning luckily. 6. After that first breakfast, we thought we could return to a room which was already made up but nothing was done. We did not switch on “do not enter” sign so not sure why no one here to tidy up. So before we go out again, I made a call to guest service to get them to send someone to make up our room. We received a room which is not thoroughly clean when we checked in. I thought I should give housekeeping a second chance to fix these up when we were out, but the eye for details is definitely not there. There was dusts , water marks, short brown hair (not ours!) on shower entrance handle and tissue box and towel platter holder. All these was not rectified even on second day. There was long term stains on the bench next to the bed and even a cigarette bud outside our window. There was yellowish stains on white bedsheet and luckily they did changed that. Felt not welcoming at all and stressful. The check out team asked me why didn’t I raised some of the points and pics earlier - I could only laugh because I want a peaceful staycation and don’t like to continue ranting non stop while I’m there. I believed the items I raised above are very basic expectations for a 5 star hotel with a reputable management. No one should only get better service or cleaner room only after complains are made regardless of room tier level. Quite unlucky during this stay and wished other paying guests didn’t have to experienced what we went through.

Check in for business , it was fast and of coz as usual i ask a lot of info , the Front Desk Syan was really helplful , kind and very welcoming! She was a gem . She really went for the extra miles and help us booking for another night with better room after understanding it and can wait later for the evening cocktail! Heheh The room was EXCELLENT and BIG! I was hoping for bathtub , but for our 1st night , just the same bathroom .. well i juat cant wait for the second room later! Coz we extended our stay and it much cozier as per Syan! Hehe We ordered in room dining .. the FOOD WAS AMAAAAZING! Kudos to the chef! And thank u for taking my order perfectly correct guest service , u was cute saying i’m a miss … it’s Mr .. hehe its okay i got that a lot.. THE BAD ! We come for the 1st day for business of coz it was in a rush . I was thought my room was with breakfast as i saw in Booking.com it was BREAKFAST INCLUDED! Darn! Arrived at The Jade , i’m sorry to say this but she was not really welcoming and kindda arrogant , checking the small list for thousand times looking for our room no and also need assistant fron the front desk to double check . Then she just said not included . Well what?! Okay how about a manners “ I’m Sorry Sir Your room didnt include breakfast , would u like to add on?’ Simple right? If she has said that i would have add on but i was upset n in a hurry to go to work , so we just went to our room after double check with the front desk , ya i know …. Its perhaps my fault didnt see clearly about breakfast included … but at least manners … duhh.. i was so upset and HUNGRY and rush to go to the work! Owh ya we are in room 1341 for the 1st night , hoping for second night is the best place to stay ! See you all again for the second Night Review ❤️
