Stayed there with a friend and had a lovely experience from check in to check out. Staff Odelia was attentive and very welcoming. Breakfast buffet was amazing with widespread of cuisines. It can get very crowded but the staff was quick to clear tables. Location is good - walking distance to KLCC and Avenue K. I remember it being great when I stayed there with my husband and so glad I picked to stay here again for a holiday with my friend. We both enjoyed our stay very much. Would definitely go back again!

Excellent staff, clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast restaurant. This hotel has a great location above the Intermark shopping centre and is close to transport. The Taff here are incredibly helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast restaurant id magnificent (one of the best of any hotel around the world I’ve stayed in) and has Malaysian, Indian, Chinese and Western options. The Executive Lounge is fantastic with wonderful staff and a great selection of foods each night. I would recommend a stay here in a heartbeat.

TLDR; One night stay at DoubleTree Hilton KL almost cost us an additional RM 3,500 for damage to TV that wasn't caused by my friend and I. Moral of story: record your room before checking out! Stayed for one night at DoubleTree Hilton KL on June 5th. Everything was decent until I received an email from one of the Duty Managers, M in the evening on the 6th stating that my card will be charged RM 3,500 due to damage to the TV screen in our room. An invoice and video showing the damaged TV were attached in the email. No explanations were provided in the email, no calls were made to me prior to this email for further clarification. My friend and I were immediately assumed and to some extend accused to have caused the damage. When we checked out at 11:20AM June 6th, the TV was in the same condition as it was when we entered the room the evening before. From the video provided in the email sent at 5:20PM, it was clear that the video was taken AFTER housekeeping was done and not before, contrary to what was stated in the email. We strongly believe this because the video showed that the beds have been made and new water bottles were placed on the desk (we had finished previous bottles). Called the Duty Manager, M, upon seeing the email. Explained that it was rather shocking to receive the email stating there will be a charge immediately without prior clarification. M apologised but sounded occupied and stated that he would try to refund by that day and to call him back if I don't receive the refund in 2 weeks. It was pretty dismissive as no other explanation was given as to why the email was sent in the first place without any prior clarification. I felt that the whole situation wasn't taken seriously although you can imagine the distress you would feel when you see that kind of email. Called concierge to speak to another supervisor to get a clearer picture if this was standard procedure when a damage happens since no explanation was provided in the email. At this point, it's not so much of the refund but more on the fact that the whole thing wasn't taken seriously, and it felt a bit like the hotel wanted to take advantage of me footing the bill for a damage caused by someone else. Lady A at concierge answered and said will return my call. However, didn't receive a call because M replied via email stating the same - that a refund would be done and to call back if I didn't receive it in 2 weeks. Again, at this point it's not about the refund but how the situation was handled prior and after the emails. Called A back and was again informed that someone will return my call. A did call back but instead of someone returning my call, I was given the phone number of the Commercial Director (CD). Felt that it was a bit strange that I had to be the one to make the call considering the situation. Called CD and explained everything. CD was attentive and apologised on behalf of M and the hotel. Reassured me that the refund has been done and stated that this matter has been brought to management. Ended by offering a free upgrade to suite during my next stay at the hotel. The point of the call wasn't to get freebies but to understand if this was their SOP or what would be done in the future to avoid such scenarios. I appreciated that he listened but after the call ended, there was no follow up via email and again, it felt as if this whole thing wasn't taken seriously. There is no formal apology or explanation until today following the multiple calls. Is this the kind of customer service you would expect from a 5-star hotel? Definitely not. To say that I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Surely there could be improvements in one, how we communicate with one another when a damage happens (especially ones not caused by you) and two, what comes after. What was supposed to be a pleasant staycation turned out to be rather distasteful after. Anyway, just be sure to record your hotel room before checking out to avoid such an unpleasant experience!

Stayed 4d3n from 3rd to 7th June. Check in was slow, even at ~6pm but understandable due to the holiday period. Still, they could deploy more staff at the counter. Room was clean, sanitised with comfortable bed. Good supply of amenities, one would typically expected from a 5 stars hotel. Have a nice pool but sadly very much lacking the hygiene standard they promised to keep. No control of a proper wash-down before using the pool, most do not adhere to swimming attire when using the pool and staff just turning a blind eyes to it. At this pandemic time, a big turn off. Breakfast spread was so-so, as compares to the DoubleTree Johor or Melaka. No fresh juice/detox juice counter. My first and last stay at Doubletree KL. I would rather bring my $ somewhere else. Not recommended if you have a better choice elsewhere.

Hotel was in a great location. One subway station to KLCC or an ok walk if u want to walk. Hotel was in a shopping mall with quite a few food options and a supermarket. Very convenient for guests. Cleanliness was 3 out of 10 in the room. On checkin, we like to give the surfaces a quick wipe down and the wet tissues were black after first wipe. It also felt dusty as if it had been left vacant for a long time. Breakfast was fit for a king. There were all sorts of food and it is not possible to not find something u like. We enjoyed it a lot! Hotel staff were nice and polite all the time. Pool was good. Gym small but well equipped. One star lost due to cleanliness of room. If not it would have been quite a perfect stay.

First of all the hotel was incredibly nice. I’ve stayed here for 2 nights before. The only problem now is that I tried to call the hotel reservation to asked if there’s any availability for today but the reservation officer was being rude.. I’m trying to talk to her properly and gave her the info. She needed. The way she talked to me was so unwelcome and so snob and when I tried to confront her about her attitude she’s trying to put the blame on me for some reason. I asked her about her name and she didn’t give me and suddenly transferred me to her colleague. If I wasn’t mistaken she have an Arab accent so yea.

I am not happy about the hotel at all. I was requested to have a smoking room since the booking. After that the time of checking also, they said to me that there is no smoking room at the time of check in but next day they will change to another room. However, after 8 nights at hotel they didnt change but fined of RM 500 for smoking in the room. I asked them to check out from the hotel, but refused to pay anything for the balance 4 nights. THIS HOTEL SUCK BYE BYE FOR EVER

Was nervous and excited at the same time. Luckily on the way there all go smoothly and took their public transport to the hotel which i didnt expect to be so convenient. Stayed here before i think was 4 years ago. Liked their hospitality and amenities were pretty basic. Requested for an upgrade prior to visiting. Room was spacious enough, cupboard was kind of in a weird location as its in front of the main door. My room was facing the morning sun which is a huge plus for me. Will come back to KL and the hotel again, pretty soon too 🙏

I am sad writing this review because I am positive person and I value the otherside service and effort objectively. On several apps I don't recall I rated less than 3 except once for Uber service and this one now unfortunately the second. But, I have to write negative review when it is obvious a failed service hoping the organization management take corrective action to avoid repetition. I had offal experience with Kuala Lumpur Doube Tree Hotel by Hilton. I will not get into much details of the real reason of the problem; but, I rather focus of front desk check in staff behavior which was rude, disrespectful and extremely slow causing unbearable stress for a long flight travelers. To be fair, this incident was experienced with Mr. Shahril on 12 May 2022 arround 14:00 time. I was not able to travel due to my Covid Vaccine Passport not ready and I has reserved the room for two where the second guest was my daughter and her name was registered. Mr. Shahrill was not accepting that my daughter will be the one to check in the room trying to insinuate that my daughter is taking advantage by using my account beverages. Despite the effort and calls she did to clear up the situation, Mr. Shahril was stubborn and requested her to have the ID of the company which she communicated and get it to him. At the end he canceled the reservation and dictated on then lower class room. I told my daughter to leave and I booked her the Intercontinental Hotel, but by the time my message reached her she was so exhausted and accepted the offer. I have been many times in this hotel and the last visit was on 5 September 2019. On 2028 I had similar case but the front desk manager came out and apologized for the lengthy time debate with the agent and I accepted that and didn't made a negative review. But this time, I am making this review because we don't accept such attitude from Mr. Shahril and his disrespect and insinuation of making illegal act against Hilton membership beverages. With other Hilton arround the world we had never exercise such issue and KL double tree Hotel management should investigate if this is the trend of their front desk or just Mr. Shahril special attitude. Finally, I made it to KL and definitely removed this hotel from my preference list and I am well received with great welcoming in neighbors hotel and i did not missed my favorite location in KL.

Was at this hotel for a 1 night stay during the recent public holiday raya season (Raya Day 2) and my review is as follows: 1) Parking It was free and there were many parking lots available eventho it was during PH. Two thumbs up on that. Parking bays are spacious too. 2) Check In Experience Alto the hotel occupancy is not full (as there are rooms still available online), the check in waiting area is very tight, crowded and without social distancing. Chairs were arranged similar to vaccine centre at PWTC and we have to keep changing our seats by moving forward as if we are playing musical chairs before our turn and this is very annoying. Imagine sitting on a warm chair seated by another guests as we move forward. I arrive at the hotel at about 4.30pm and waited for almost 75 minutes before being able to check in. Check in process is quite slow and at 545pm, the rooms are still not ready. I was asked to continue waiting at their lounge. No drinks whatever is being provided during the lenghty waiting process. Only being given the complimentary biscuit. Finally received my room key card at about 6.20pm. Hotel did apologised for the lenghty waiting time and granted late check out at 3pm. 3) Room 2827 and 2828 Room size is ok and compact (not too spacious). Rooms are not too old or too modern looking. It was ok. The inner curtains at Room 2827 is already torn. Not sure why they didnt replaced it with a new one. Bathroom size is ok. Water pressure is also ok. Mattress is so-so (not too hard, not too plush and not too soft too) - it was ok. Pillows were good especially the feather pillows. Overall, the rooms are ok for the price we paid. It wasnt luxury or modern but it is also not run down or old too. 4) Buffet Breakfast at Makan Kitchen We were asked to pick a breakfast slot during check in - we selected the slot from 7.45am to 9.15am. Yes, the breakfast area is always crowded but thankfully the restaurant area is huge. We are also lucky being asked to seat at an upper area where tables are not arranged too close/tight. Services from the floor staff is ok, our plates are being cleared from time to time. No issues on that. In terms of the buffet breakfast selection, it was just ok ok. Definitely it was not a huge buffet spread. All the expected items from a 4 star city hotel are there except that they dont offer fresh fruit juices - only 2 types of chilled cordial juices. Pastries section is also quite limited - only about 4 or 5 types of pastries being offered including waffles and pancakes. No cakes or kuih whatsoever. There's two coffee machines to be utilised. There is also a roti canai station where we can order our roti. Overall, the buffet breakfast is just ok-ok. 5) Swimming Pool Pool size is small but is acceptable for a city centre hotel. Most importantly, the pool is clean. 6) Check Out Check out was very fast. Two thumbs up on that. Overall: It is ok to stay here if the rates are not too expensive and if you are not looking for a modern luxury hotel room. Best to avoid during crowded period unless the hotel can improve on their check in experience. Because of the lenghty waiting experience during check in from 430pm to 620pm with no social distancing whatsoever, i have to rate this property as poor especially during pandemic season.
