This was my 5th time in Birdnest and from the first day it felt like coming home! Willi is the best host you can wish for: makes sure you're alright, encourages social events, helps you find your way. The 'living room' is cosy and the roof terrace (partly roofed) is a nice place to hang out. I'll be back!!

At 35MRY a night you cannot beat the Bird Nest I. We stayed here 3 nights and our room was comfortable, quiet, not hot and did not smell like cat pee. Yes the stairs leading up to the entrance do but other than that the guesthouse is very clean. It's also very close to everything and the owner Is available...

Loved the staff. Great, friendly group, very helpful. The rooms were not the best and the bathrooms could use a little work, especially the one with very little water pressure. It was pretty warm in the whole place in general but the rooms were quite warm. The fan doesn't quite cut it and maybe there was no A/C in the...

Listening to our friends' recommandation, when we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, we went directly to the Bird Nest, and before knowing it, we had spent a week in this place! Great ambiance, friendly staff, free Wifi, kitchen avaliable. The rooms are super basic (bed, fan, that's about it) and all of them have a window inside the building. It is...

Found the hotel on Google Maps, then found easily the website and easily got friendly emails with Willy. We stayed here 5 nights, and were impressed with the most friendly home atmosphere you could ever find in a backpacker hotel. Arrived at midnight in Chinatown, although Willy was there waiting for us with a drink as the best refreshment after...
