Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre stands out for its strategic location close to shopping hotspots like Pavilion Mall, which many travelers find ideal for city exploration. Guests have called out the clean, spacious rooms and the welcoming atmosphere enhanced by modern decor. The Premier Lounge is a highlight, contributing to the hotel's good value for money.

Detailed Reviews
Basement parking available, however the ramps are quite narrow, so navigating from one level to another can be quite challenging. Not managed by hotel, and the staff manning the parking are rather rude, which creates a bad impression of the hotel. Only one lift serving the parking to the lobby, hence if you travel with luggage and kids, better to drop them off in front of the main lobby.
Check in was quick and straightforward. No welcome drinks provided. Renovation was still ongoing during our stay, but did not cause any problems to us in terms of noise level.
Room is newly renovated, so it is very nice and clean. Our room comes with a separated sitting area. There are two huge LG LCD TV in both bedroom and living area. You can connect your mobile or laptop to the LCD TV via wireless connection, perfect if you are the type who likes to watch your movie collections.
Our Junior Suite room comes with a coffee machine that uses pods which is perfect for any coffee lover. The only gripe is that the coffee machine was not properly cleaned by housekeeping team. I had to run a few cleaning cycle myself before the dispensed water is clear and clean from any coffee leftovers from previous use.
Hotel is literally located next to Pavilion mall. From the main entrance, just turn to your left and you should be able to notice the connecting escalators to Pavilion mall.
All in all very good stay experience. Definitely will consider to stay again in the future.

Stayed here for 9 nights in a renovated deluxe room. The room was newly refurbished to a high standard, looked modern and was well appointed (large TV, comfortable beds, excellent shower, tea & coffee making facilities) and was a good size.
The front desk staff and concierge were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast selection was good - particularly the selection of fresh salad items and the restaurant staff were friendly.
The location was excellent - the Pavillion shopping centre is just across the road, Bukit Bintang is less than a 10 minute walk away and the bus stop for the free public bus to Chinatown also just across the road.
The pool was good. There were not many beds around the pool although it was never very busy so that was not a problem. The pool also got sunlight for most of the day so it was nice to go around the pool in the morning or afternoon and enjoy there sun.
I thought the selection of TV channels was poor for an international hotel (it didn't have National Geographic, Discovery...etc).
I thought this was an excellent choice in Kuala Lumpur and would stay here again. The location, staff and the modern design of the room were all highlights.

The guest rooms were newly refurbished and revamped. But we sincerely hope they will also invest in new bed linens. Ours was worn out and torn. The bed sheets were no longer pristine white.
We utilised the gym. Unlike other hotels, Novotel did not provide sanitised wet wipes or sanitising spray for us to clean up the gym equipment after use. Totally, unhygienic practice. Underage kids were observed roaming the gym and playing with the equipment without any adult supervisions.

Newly furbished rooms in a very good location.
I was actually a little disappointed with this hotel. I felt it was more like a 3 star than a 4 star.
I was staying with 2 other friends who had separated rooms and reservations. We arrived at 13:30 after a 20 hour flight only to be told there are no rooms with double beds even though this is what we had booked. We were happy to be on different floors but were told only room available are with 2 single beds. When asked how long we would have to wait as check in was at 2pm we were told maybe 2 hours or more depending on the cleaning. Interesting initially my friend was told he can have a double room if he is happy to be on another floor but the gentleman checking me in intervened ( whist he was checking me in) to state only the single beds rooms are available. This is really poor as a 4 star hotel should have rooms for check in time. I even requested an early check in even though we arrived at the hotel at 13:30.
The room itself is clean and they have all been refurbished recently. Although it's a shame the carpet looks old. I was very surprised to learn that this 4 star hotel does not provide an iron. They only provide an iron on requested but you must return it as soon as you have finished using it. Most 3 star have irons as standard. It does have air conditioning unit. The hotel does not provide hand towels as standard and only bath towels.
The breakfast was a little disappointing if you are vegetarian but there are certainly some options available. The only Indian breakfast time they have is paratha. Although I wouldn't expect a full Indian breakfast but it would be appreciated.
The only reasons I would return to this hotel is because of the location and newly furbished rooms. It is certainly not novotel usual standard of both facilities, breakfast and customer service.
Overall I would not advise to avoid staying here as the location is good and the rooms are decent, but just don't expect it to be like a normal 4 star Novotel standard

Right next to the Pavillion and with an air conditioned walkway to KLCC the location is great for shopping, Petronas Towers, the acquarium and Bukit Bintang.
Our room was spacious and with 6 USB charging points keeping our devices topped was easy.
Renovations are continuing in 2020 but did not Impact us at all. The pool area is due for renovation February to April 2020 so be aware if this matters to you.

Stayed here for one night to restart my points collection for Accor and for a short staycation since it’s so close to Pavilion.
Was pleased that I was able to check-in early but was underwhelmed to find that only one lift was working. Apparently, there are two service lifts behind some doors but none of the staff mentioned that we can use this lift…imagine waiting endlessly per trip, just to go up to your floor or back down to the lobby.
We were given room 1909 but the soundproofing was so poor that I could hear the next door neighbor’s baby crying, while the next door neighbors were shouting across the hallway and holding a loud conversation with their family members. Seeing that we were going to face a sleepless night, I contacted the front desk to change rooms.
The new room, 1608, was quieter during the night but the soundproofing was still poor as we could hear the closet doors from other rooms being slammed. In the morning, we heard more slamming from either above our room or next door as the housekeepers went about cleaning the rooms.
Staff were so-so. As the front counter were understaffed, some staff members tried to help those who were checking out but the one person who attended to me asked me to hand the keys and check my invoice later, since I was coming back after a brief shopping stint.
BTW, parking is RM5 per day instead of per stay.
There are still some teething problems regarding the communication amongst the staff and their customers, and they need to fix the lifts ASAP.

Conveniently located at the intersection of Jalan Kia Peng and Perak in the midst of the cluster of hotels, such as the Banyan Tree, Pullman Grand Hyatt, J. W. Marriott, to name a few, and across from the Pavilion shopping complex. We arrived just before 18:00 and check-in was quickly taken car of by Mr. Ebrahim, the front office manager. Lobby area is the whole ground floor with reception on one side and the bar/lounge on the other. Between these two spaces is the entrance to the Premium Lounge situated behind the reception area. This just reopened about 3 weeks ago so we went to check it out before going to the room, as the evening cocktail was on. We were well taken care of by the inimitable Jamil and his assistance, Feroz, later joined by Nadia.
For the hotel category, there is a selection of red and white wines, beers, cocktails and mocktails (happy to mix to your request), fruit juices, aerated drinks and the coffees and teas. The offering of food though not large was quite good, with hot items, cold cuts, cheeses, salads and sweets. On quality and taste it can hold its own. The bite-sized cakes are very good; the (bite-size) pavlova was exceptional.
Our room was quite a comfortable size and appears to have been recently renovated, with basic necessities for amenities, in the aftermath of the recent pandemic with noticeable absence of the usual bathrobes, though not an issue as we always pack pajamas.
Food Exchange on the first floor is the dining outlet, which also doubles as the breakfast venue. Menu is casual dining with a small selection. Taste and quality is quite good in our opinion. For guests with access have to the Premium Lounge, it is an alternative venue for breakfast, albeit with lesser spread on offer.
Staff are friendly and helpful and management personnel are quite noticeable and approachable, from the General Manager, Asst Front Office Manager, Food and Beverage Manager. Keep it up as we had an enjoyable stay.

We found the location to be very convenient to visit nearby shopping, a short walk to KLCC and Petronas. The rooms and facilities are first grade, thanks Novotel KL !

We been staying at Novotel KLCC lately, and it has been a delightful experience. We were generously upgraded to the Suite at the Premier Floor, namely rooms 2705 and 2305 in last 2 staycations.
1. Room: The room is impressively spacious and has been beautifully renovated post-pandemic.
2. Drinking Water: I appreciate their commitment to ESG initiatives; they've installed water filters in all rooms.
3. Premium Lounge: Located on the ground floor, it's a cozy and inviting lounge. Operating hours are from 0630 to 2000.
4. Evening Cocktails: From 1730 to 1900, they offer a selection of food and alcoholic drinks, including wine, beer, and two simple cocktails.
5. Breakfast: Served on Level 1, the breakfast has significantly improved since the pre-pandemic days. The selection is extensive. You also have the option to enjoy breakfast in the Premier Lounge for a quieter and more exclusive dining experience.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Feroz and Jamil for their exceptional service during the evening cocktail and breakfast sessions. Their professionalism made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended!

We stayed on the 20th floor and the views were excellent. All the staff are really friendly, starting from the security guard to the housekeeping personnel. Will definitely come back here whenever I visit Kuala Lumpur again. Location is excellent too - Pavilion Mall is a 2 min walk away and there’s a 7 Eleven right opposite the main entrance.

if you want to check in at 2am, you would need to book the room from 13th August otherwise you probably won't get into a room till 2-3pm on the 14th
You have self service laundry within walking distance from the hotel which is quite cheap & easy
There is 24/7 parking facilities at the hotel. We didnt use it, but according to Novotel website the charge is RM5.00 per day
Not that Im aware of
Hi Pang, thanks for your query. Just to let you know, extra bed charges would be RM110+ per bed per night.
There won't be any road closure around the hotel and you would still be able to access Novotel KL from the airport on NYE.
Hope this helps and do email our reservations team for further assistance on clarification.
Thank you!
