The ambiance is very nostalgic and classical for this part of Manila. But the aircon at the lobby area was very hot. The rooms are perfect and also the view. But the surroundings makes the the hotel looks cheap too many beggars and trash. As well as that bar in the front of the hotel. The cityhall should not allow that to operate
Highly clean and most comfortable, best food for breakfasts and dinner, beautiful interior and design, good and attentive service. What's missing: Room service menu, empty room fridge, directory of where's what.
Staff are very friendly, foods are delicious but very less options, like 7 menu only for breakfast. Noisy during the night- across the hotel. If youre unwell, better do not book in this hotel. I love the designs and the moodest style of the hotel including the uniforms of the staff.
We booked two room for 2 nights The bar next door to the hotel is so loud up until Midnight. We can't believe that people actually pay this much money for such plastic luxury type accommodations with a ghetto bar next door to it and surrounded by poverty. This night mpress people who stay at low budget hotels and just come to take selfies most of thier lives but for any well traveled person do Yourself a favor and skip this nightmare if you enjoy sleep and not being hounded by beggars and lame. Videoke noise which apparently. Is in this entire country and no one follows the noise ordinance laws. Speaking about it " playing loud music is part of our culture" 🤣 Unreal
I would like to start by mentioning that this hotel is located in a beautifully restored historic building in the heart of Manila's famous Ermita district. Both the interior and exterior are visually impressive and you really feel like you are stepping into the past as you enter the hotel; from the lighting, to the tiling, and even the staff uniforms. Positives: The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful from the moment you enter, you will be captivated by the opulent decorations and beautifully clean and spacious foyers and hallways. The hotel itself is a 3 minute walk from the famous Rizal Park (Luneta Park) and you can really get to anywhere you want to go in Manila quite easily from the hotel. Negatives: The first and biggest issue we experienced was in this hotel was the level of noise in the evening. We were kept awake by the very loud guitar and drums from the karaoke venue across the street which quite literally shook the window panes. I understand that this is not really the hotel's fault and that karaoke is a common Filipino pastime however when we called to enquire about the noise we were told that the music should stop around 2am, whereas we would have appreciated an offer to move to a quieter part of this large hotel, given the price per night and our feeling unwell at the time. It is also worth mentioning the breakfast at the hotel, whilst it does feature delicious traditional Filipino cuisine, there were some notable things missing. The selection of fresh fruit was limited to 3 and there was notably no salad options available. Also note that the bar in the hotel was closed by 10pm, if you would like a cocktail on a Saturday night at this time (perhaps because the loud music has kept you awake), then the nearest option may be the Manila Hotel which is a 5 minute walk from the Rizal Park Hotel. Overall I would describe the Rizal Park Hotel as opulent, but not necessarily luxurious. It could benefit from some sound-proofing and perhaps a little bit more signage inside (can be difficult to find facilities such as the pool). It is definitely worth a visit to this historical place, however it is somewhat resigned in the shadow of the nearby Manila Hotel which is perhaps somewhat better value for money.…
Rooms are refurbished, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Aircon is adjustable according to your comfort. Many of the staff are accommodating although some attendants during breakfast do not smile. Improve on placing signages esp going to amenities. Include available amenities in the website.
It's good to be back since our first & last stay in November 2017. Rizal Park Hotel looks exactly the same but has more amenities like the roof top bar & swimming pool. The staffs are nice and friendly. But there are little things that can be improved. Example, the menu provided for the room service is outdated. The prices are higher & the menu is not known to the restaurant. The fridge is empty hence, you cannot snack on something.
The ambience is really enjoyable and the service around here is in first class. Especially from front desk Mr. Michael helped a lot in all sort of ways. He is really an asset for this hotel. Enjoyed my stay...
Stayed here during the birthday of my mom January 14-15, 2023. Very accommodating and approachable staff. Kudos to FO Michael and Concierge Jonathan. Truly memorable. I will recommend this hotel to my relatives and friends.
We celebrated my husband Birthday at Cafe Rizal with our family. We are satisfied with the food, the ambiance and most imporrantly to Ms Jhen and Sir Nikko very accomodating and considerate and thank you also to the rest of the staff on that night. We will surely comeback!
