When traveling, I first look for HI-AYH (I am a life member) overnights, and this is the only one available. It isn’t the easiest to get to—quite far from the airport, though if one follows the posted directions, you should be fine. (Another way of saying I did NOT follow them!) Be careful; “Pinoy” is an important endearing term used by other facilities. When the late evening cabbie delivered me to the Pinoy HOTEL, I knew it was wrong because it lacked the International symbol; I spent the night at an adequate hotel. The next day brought daylight and a renewed effort. I GimpWalked and rode the extremely crowded MRT, in addition to google maps on my cellphone. Once I arrived, I was amazed at the set up. Occupying several floors of a high rise, it was one of the nicest 5-star urban hostels I’ve ever been to. On the ground floor, a swim pool and eatery make leaving the hectic & often harsh city behind EASY. Owner Rick & manager was goes out of his way to help all guests.
