I was disappointed with my stay at this B&B. Initially it made a favorable impression: it is decorated beautifully, particularly in the dining area. The rooms are named after flowers, and some of the décor is exquisite. That said, I was disappointed with the customer service aspect. We arrived late and left early the next day, failing to note that...

We spent a weekend there and it was a wonderful visit. The house is well-maintained with several rooms of various sizes and descriptions. The main house has 6 or so rooms and there is a separate carriage house with a few more. Coffee, tea and fruit are always available and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff is small...

We were greeted by Amanda, the manager of the property. She was gracious and very informative about the property. We stayed in the Magnolia Room on the second floor. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the bath had a great shower. The ceiling of the room had gathered fabric that radiated from above the ceiling fan our to...

Just got back from a long weekend trip to Asheville with my mom and sister. We stayed 3 nights at the Black House in the Lilac Room. It was a fine experience, but would probably try another place on our next trip to Asheville. The pros: The super-friendly staff was probably the best part of our stay. Everyone was so...

Husband and I went to this B&B for MLK day weekend. We had only been to Asheville once before and stayed somewhere else that was "dog friendly" but had a lot of issues after checking out with too much dog hair on the blankets, having to end our vacation by sweeping and vacuuming the room as to not get charged...

We visited the Blake House twice in 2013. The first time we used a Groupon and came in May for our anniversary. We had an awesome trip. The room was quite nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic and we enjoyed having a table for two that allowed us to dine together while interacting with other guests. We took...

Experiencing the history of the Blake House was impressive, and we love the charm of a great B&B. We did a late check-in, which means we didn't get the run-down or personalized service. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. We were glad to have a nice place to relax. Early Saturday morning while taking out our dog,...

My wife Carol, our big dog (100 lbs.), Mello, and I stayed in the Lilac Room for a week and a half while we explored all things Asheville and surrounds. We frequently stay at B&B's and can honestly say that the Blake House Inn ranks as the best. The gourmet breakfasts served on the front porch were not only delicious...

We had never been to a B & B prior to this visit and did not really know what to expect. But Jennifer helped us through it with ease. She is amazing- my husband is a Chef in Greeneville SC and he was really impressed with the gourmet breakfasts Jennifer created each morning- he even offered her a job. The...
