Reviewed yesterday NEW

We have stayed at the Stratford before and I reviewed it once in 2007. The room we stayed in has been updated with wood looking flooring and newer bedding and some improvements in the bathroom as well. Also, the help at the front desk has also improved since my last review. The free breakfast has gone downhill. It consisted of... More

Okay hotel, but the breakfast was horrible, I had to go buy my own yogurt and fruit because there was none. No exercise rooms in the hotel, could sign up and go to an exercise facility but I would much rather have somewhere directly in the hotel to work out in. Not very pleased myself.

People are very nice. Redone rooms are okay. Hallways are dark with older carpeting. Breakfast is poor, add fruit and eggs. Location is okay but not suitable for people who go to watch plays. Not sure we will stay there again.

Each year my husband and I travel to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival and have always stayed at the Stratford Inn, just as my mother did for years. It is always clean, quiet, comfortable. The front desk people are always cheerful and helpful. This year, the Inn has started renovating the rooms, one of which we got this year. They... More

Great place to stay in Ashland -- nice to be close to downtown. Loved the cheerful ambience at the cafe. Appreciated the fresh food choices at breakfast bar too. Rooms were comfortable and very good lighting in bathroom!

Room was very clean. The desk person was not friendly, acted like he was upset that we arrived on his shift. In addition, breakfast was not open until 7 AM and we were leaving at 6:30 AM. The woman at the desk the morning we left was very pleasant!

The hotel is in tiptop shape. Everything from the pool to the coffee shop to the beds was first rate and immaculate. It's a bit of a walk to downtown for older people or in the rain. The room was very clean, quiet and equipped with everything we needed--including a night light which is rare in a hotel. On top of... More

Roomy guest rooms equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker make eating in easy. Wi-Fi and a wide selection of cable channels are available. Indoor pool and spa are open from early morning until late at night. A light, but very adequate complimentary buffet breakfast is provided.

Rooms were clean and had most things you would expect. Pretty basic but nice enough. Pool was neat but small. Hot tub was too small for more than 3 people to have a comfortable distance between them. Front desk staff ranged from curt to pleasant. Not bad but not fantastic. Nice to have a free but limited breakfast available, and... More

We stay here every year and were happy to see that the rooms have been updated since last year. The eating area, on the other hand, where hotel guests serve themselves complimentary breakfast, has gone a bit downhill. The room is small, very warm, and since the opening of the adjacent very upscale cafe to the public, one gets the... More
