Ashland, Oregon was a very pleasant surprise on my recent trip, and the Columbia Hotel was certainly part of this. Perfectly located on the city's main street, the hotel offered a very authentic experience in their courtyard suite. Of course, authentic does mean that rooms are older, but everything is very well kept. The front desk service was impeccable.

The last room available was with a queen bed and a shared shower/bath. For the price the room was functional, comfortable and clean. The common areas were well maintained and Bill on the reception desk was most help.

We stay at the Columbia Hotel at least six nights every year.....gee, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is only two blocks away. We have no problem sharing a bathroom down the hall or splurging and having one of the suites with a bath & shower included. We occasionally store our bicycles in our room and pedal the Jackson County Greenway, which...

If you don't need a private toilet and shower, you don't mind kind of creaky floors, and you love high-ceilinged spacious old-style rooms... the location could not be better, nor the atmosphere more charming. The shower and toilets, however, could use an upgrade (men's loos are right next to the back door, and two stalls made to look like two...

We were very pleased with our stay at the Columbia. The location couldn't be better - just a few blocks from the Theaters, restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We loved the old world charm of the building and decor. Our room had an east facing window which offered a nice view of Grizzly Peak and a...

We spent a night here with our 12 year old son. We were in room 1. It is a great place, very different from the usual bland modern hotel. There is parking, the staff were great. Although not ensuite, the bathrooms/showers were good. Our room was spacious. The only downside was the big bed was very very squeaky. To the...

This is a lovely historic hotel centrally located in Ashland. Close to fun shopping, great eating, just off the "square" and Lippia park. We had a charming room furnished with antique furniture. Highly recommended!

The Columbia Hotel is a charming hotel-- right in the middle of Ashland. We were surprised at how unassuming it is from the street, yet how wonderful it is inside. As a historical hotel, it is quaint and charming. Yet, it has modern features to make a traveler feel comfortable. We had a claw-foot bathtub in our room, but there...

We spent one of our three nights in Ashland at the Columbia hotel. Our queen air-conditioned room was reasonably nice. As is clear from the hotel website, bathrooms are shared so if that's a concern you may want to look elsewhere. We had no delays or problems getting access to the bathrooms and showers. The staff were very accommodating and...

I called on August 20, 2016 (more than 2 weeks in advance of my reservation) to cancel my room. Earlier in the month I had been struck by a car while in a crosswalk and was in too much pain to travel. I was told that would be no problem, but I would still have to pay a $25 cancelation...
