We stayed here for two weeks. Leon, the campground owner, was extremely kind and did everything he could to make our stay easy and comfortable since our truck broke down shortly after we arrived. All the guests at Study Butte were exceptional friendly and helpful, and Leon is constantly making improvements to the campground. It’s a great location so close...

This rv park is so close to the park and Terlinqua, there's a market right across the street, small but well stocked, gas is up the road about mile. Our sight was level, all hookups worked properly. We are 40ft, 4 slides, with a jeep, we had adequate room. This is a small park and not real well taken care...

We ended up here by accident this past Spring Break...we've always camped inside Big Bend National Park for many years, but this year, we didn't make it out in time, so we were forced to look elsewhere. We drove from the main gate of Big Bend, all the way through the park and out through the other gate, and started...

Inexpensive, nice owner and great taco stand. The electric grid when we were there was not strong enough to sustain the amount of campers in the park, which meant we did not have AC during Spring Break in the desert, 90 degrees. Poor planning by the park. The park is like camping in a dirt parking lot with one public...

I hate to let the secret out but this great campground is greater than ever. Still the desert , still funky, but the new owners, Benita & Leon Smith and trusty sidekick nephew Connor are kick as s! Great location, full hookups, friendly and the real Study Butte/Terlingua experience. Just 3 miles from Big Bend National Park. Love this place!

We stayed here, New Years, 2015, and had a camp grounds (we were pulling a travel trailer) were wonderfully maintained, and when the entire region no longer had electricity, OR gas (due to ice storm) the adjacent Cafe had a giant trailer with a generator and were the only folks in the region that was still operating! To me, that...

This RV Park is in Study Butte just west of the park boundary on route 118 in the small town of Study Butte.(Pronounced like "stoody" by the locals) We visited Big Bend during the last week of Spring Break and the three main campgrounds were full so we went west and found this RV Park. Owner Dave Bence is a...

We had a great experience shopping at this location. Mr Dave Owner of this park is very friendly to customers. He has lot of good stuff if some on is looking for unique pieces to decorate in Home. The prices are very good.

While I didn't actually stay here, the owner rescued us during the Big Winter Storm of 2015 while we lost power at the Lajitas RV Park. Our pop up trailer battery was dead and there was no rv battery to be found nearby. The owner lent us one of his batteries on the honor system. Wonderful to find such kind...

There's a weird glitch in many online maps that shows Study Butte RV Park in several different places in Alpine. The Study Butte RV Park is actually in Study Butte/ Terlingua, 80 miles south of Alpine on Hwy 118. It's the closest RV Park to the west entrance of Big Bend NP.
