We booked 2 rooms for 2 families for Spring Break. One of the rooms was a little tight with the pull out open, but not a big deal. The location is great. The hotel is charming. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. There is a bar and restaurant on site. The food was very good. The complimentary breakfast in the...

Stayed here for a night after hiking in BBNP. Hotel is lovely and charming. Great location. Good parking. Room was clean, large, comfortable and well appointed. Friendly hotel staff and solid bar with a good happy hour. Wifi was stronger than our hotels in Marfa and Terlingua. Small comments - there is no phone in the room (which we would...

Hey, we appreciate your review! Staff and management are pretty proud of Holland's historic charm, and we're so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the insightful feedback as well. Working in a historic building has certain limitations, like installing a phone system and placement of outlets, but we're always working on updates and guest comments factor into those...

BOTH THE HOLLAND HOTEL AND THE COWBOY POETRY GATHERING WEEKEND ARE WORTH VISITING. The Holland is where many of the lead poets and singers stay. It is typical of the best hotels in West Texas; it is old and original, with comfortable rooms and a bar and a good dining room.

Stayed at the Holland for two nights during a trip down to Big Bend National Park. This hotel has more character and charm than any other hotel I have every stayed in. As you walk in the walls are adorned with regalia from Texas past and the hotel just oozes history (it dates back to the 1920's). The hotel was...

We appreciate your kind words and are glad you stayed with us on your recent trip. I'll pass your comments along to our hardworking staff. Regarding the trains: we just installed new sound resistant windows which will reduce outside noise. Let us know what you think on your next visit!

We had very high hopes for this hotel and chose it over a much cheaper option as were basically just travelling through to El Paso. Thought we would treat ourselves as the hotel looked nice and different. First impressions...not good. An engineer was drilling at the front of the hotel and bits were falling all on the sidewalk so we...

We loved the hotel and the great downtown location. It was a beautiful suite with a comfy couch for relaxing and watching some tv before bed. The staff was very nice - not too pushy just helpful. Pet friendly and the pizza joint across the street was delishious!

This is a lovely historic hotel in "downtown" Alpine that has been refurbished. It is pet friendly and sponsors a program to help rescue dogs find homes. Breakfast was quite good with innovative offerings. Some rooms are suites which are lovely and spacious.

We stayed one night at the Holland Hotel. The hotel was built in 1908 and has been refurbished to resemble its historic origin. The huge lobby has multiple sitting areas with comfortable vintage design. It's like stepping into an old black n white film. So much of the original woodwork has been restored beautifully. The rooms are nicely done, ours...

We stayed two nights in this hotel and were very pleased. We had read other reviews, so when making reservations, we knew to ask for two rooms away from the main street in order to avoid the train noise. We weren't bothered at all by the trains either night. They supply ear plugs on the night stand in case you...
