Loved the hotel. Very nice. Staff super friendly. We stayed here for one night on our way to Big Bend. We dined at the hotel restaurant. Food was great. Room was cozy, clean, and quaint. Convenient to the McDonald Observatory as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Aside from the haunted stories that come from this hotel, it was a very nice stay. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant in the hotel was really good and the rooms were very clean and nice. It is very true to the old west style and atmosphere!

Hello Kaylee, Thank you for your review. People like to tell ghost stories, and whether you believe them or not, the ghosts that are rumored to haunt The Holland are all very friendly and quite playful. We even have a room, known as Nina's room, which is an original room not available to rent online, that is perfect for our...

I arrived this hotel just before restaurant closed 21:00. The restaurant, bar as well as the room are all excellent. I want to stay this hotel again taking my old father and mother. Trip by train may be also fun. 1 minute from Alpine station.

Hello, Thank you for your review of the Hotel and The Century Bar and Grill! The Holland was built to accommodate train passengers during a mercury mining boom in the area, and we still have the pleasure of occasionally welcoming guests who travel to Alpine by train. We would love to welcome you back again, and have several of our...

The Holland hotel hosted 17 of us who were leading and participating in a Geography of the American Southwest class. The accommodations and food (in the hotel's Century Bar) were all outstanding, and the cool breezes in the evening in the courtyard are idyllic. Alpine Teas is not a big place, but as the gateway to the Big Bend, we...

A very nice hotel, with but few decent choices in the market. But nonetheless, a nice property and certainly the place to stay when in Alpine. Very friendly staff. I thought the continental breakfast set-up was a little lacking -- both mornings when I came down, it seemed as if most food was gone as just remnants remained. Also, we...

We stayed here before about 5 years ago and liked the place. This time the surprise was that there were lots of new improvements. The rooms are even nicer than before and still continuing to be improved. There is a nice restaurant/bar that connects to the main lobby of the hotel. The free breakfast in the hotel is excellent and...

Ok. First of all, this hotel is not inexpensive. ( Think that you are not in a big city but hey, there is reliable cell service and NPR station). However, let's say that 140 is not a fortune if all the planets are aligned. But they were not. While I give it a point for Elimis toiletries, I take away...

The Holland Hotel has been beautifully restored to its original early 20th Century splendor. It is located in downtown Alpine, within walking distance of the shops and galleries. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to notice the effort that went into restoring the hotel! We take great pride in providing all the amenities you would find in a new hotel, with more character. I've stayed at the Holland twice lately. Love it. Beautiful room and friendly people. Some weekends they have a man at the front door to open it for the guests. The location is perfect for walking to many locations. We had delicious nachos and margaritas. Friendly bar.
