My stay at the Travassa Austin was basically an expensive mistake. I'm certainly in the minority here -- but as a public service for similar travelers who match my profile, consider the questions below before making a reservation. 1) Did you look through the list of activities carefully? Are there at least a few every day that feel compelling? Could...

Dear gridskipper, Thank you for the review. We strive to go above and beyond for our guests, and it is disheartening to hear that your stay was not what you expected. Being an experiential resort we do think that our extensive offering of activities outside of our variety of yoga classes, hikes and hatchet throwing, will be fun and challenging...

We spent 3 nights at Travassa for a "baby moon". Was an exceptional experience. The accommodations are great. Food is excellent. Spa, while pricey, was one of the best I've ever been to. The activities were enjoyable and well executed. We did the all inclusive package so we could eat and enjoy the spa "guilt free". Our only comment is...

The service was impeccable. We had a massage booked to take place upon arrival but due to traffic, we arrived late. It was amazing that by the time we reached the front desk, they had already contacted the spa to delay our service. Kudos too to the therapists for staying late to accommodate us. We took the all inclusive package...

This resort was the best I've ever been to! The location was breathtaking , the staff was great, and the amenities were superb. We hiked the paths that took us to peaceful and beautiful nature grounds surrounding a hotel which seem to transport us to another time! The Spa was excellent and the restaurant served up exceptional meals! The rooms...

We had an amazing weekend with friends. Lots of activities such as yoga, horse back riding, spa and challenge course. The grounds were lovely and hotel rooms very comfortable. Definitely perfect for a low key and relaxing weekend.

We were astounded by every detail of our stay. It was so relaxing, yet we were motivated and moved by the farm, garden, chicken coop, horses, and beautiful hikes. The restaurant was incredible, every meal was 5 star. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. We loved the balcony and evening views. The spa was excellent, our services were healing...

On the first day I wondered why there weren't more evening activities. By nightfall, I completely understood. There is so much to do that by the time dinner was done, we were ready to get to sleep. I loved the hiking trails, the crafts, hatchet throwing, archery, and most of all the horses. Others have written about the Equine Encounter,...

I rarely give 5 stars, but Traavasa would be very close. I was on the full plan which I think was best since the prices of indivdual activities and spa treatments are pretty inflated. I found the overall price good in comparision to other health and high activity resorts. If you take exercise classes be sure to read my comments...
