This B&B is a warm and friendly place to spend a weekend, centrally located among the top wineries and breweries in Nelson County VA. The Inn is also very close to the Parkway and several national parks. The breakfasts are gourmet and the owners use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. In the afternoon when you return from your...

This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast. A friend and I were looking for an over-night stay to take a wine tour in the area. When researching on-line, we came across Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast, and their Virginia Winery Tour package, which was exactly what we were looking for. My friend actually handled the reservations, but...

On holiday from England we felt that we wanted to experience what we thought was a typical Virginian home and with Afton Mountain B&B we certainly did. The house is both beautiful and historic, even for a Brit! We loved everything about this place from the setting to the delightful porch and the very comfortable bedrooms. The hosts Dan and...

We stayed here for our one year anniversary and had a wonderful time. The house and surrounding property are absolutely gorgeous, the rooms are lovely and well-kept , and the location is perfect - just a couple of miles from wonderful Virginia vineyards like Afton Mountain and Veritas. We stayed in the Jefferson room, which was tastefully decorated, had plenty...

Not only is Afton Mountain B&B a great, comfy place to stay in the beautiful Blue Ridge, but the owners were so helpful and more accomodating than anything I've ever seen. Although they were on vacation and we did not get to meet them during our stay, the inn-sitters were as equally enjoyable and pleasant. We would recommend this B&B...

Just returned from a fun two day trip to the Afton Mountain Bed & Breakfast. We greatly enjoyed our visit during our first ever trip to a bed and breakfast. The proprietors, the Ingraham's, made every effort to ensure we were pleased with our stay. They immediately learned our names, and provided us with all the information we might need...

After reading all of the wonderful reviews for this B&B, I thought we would have a great experience there. Unfortunately, it fell just a little bit short of expectations. First of all, the house, though lovely, was a bit noisier than we would have liked. We stayed in the bedroom downstairs and felt that if we even talked or walked...

The owners of Afton Mountain, Dan and Orquida, are friendly and accomodating. Daily refreshments included early morning coffee, afternoon sodas, teas, and cookies, which were thoughtfully placed upstairs for the convenience of the guests. Breakfast was scrumptious both mornings! The room was very pretty and quiet. The bed and sheets were soft and comfortable, and the shower toiletries dispenser was...
