We have just returned from a stay at the inn over Mother's Day week-end. This was our third visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first two stays. The house is very well maintained and has so much character. The grounds in May could not be more beautiful with lots of flowers in bloom. The breakfasts are delicious...

While visiting the Charlottesville area, we stayed three nights at this charming, reasonably priced B&B, away from the hustle-bustle of Charlottesville; the owners were very helpful in suggesting local restaurants and wineries; breakfast was truly "gourmet" and since this is a "green" location, many of the produce and products used were from local farms. Fresh cookies every afternoon as well....

The house was lovely. The front rooms were formal and pretty but dimly lit. There were games and movies for those that wished to enjoy them in the parlor however the furniture was not inviting or comfortable. The guest rooms were charming. Sodas, ice, tea and hot water were available in the upstairs seating area. Each evening there were cookies...

Although we try our best to create a pleasurable lodging experience for every guest who chooses to stay with us, we realize that on occasion – as is the case here - we won’t meet that standard. Because we take these critiques very seriously, we want to take a moment to offer our response to some of the concerns raised...

Orquida and Dan Ingraham were great host. The B&B was very pleasant and comfortable. We rented a movie to watch downstairs in the movie room, it was very cozy. Orquida made a awesome omelet for us and some delicious muffins to die for. I would definitely go back there if visiting the Virginia area again.

My mom, sister and I made a quick getaway to do some wine tasting and stay at this cozy B&B. We felt right at home and had a great night's sleep. Breakfast left us feeling healthy and content. Homemade cookies, tea and other beverages were constantly available. And, delicious! Owners had a handy manual for dinner recommendations that didn't disappoint....

My girlfriend and I visited Afton Mountain B&B for a weekend of wine-tasting in Nelson Country and loved the house. The Goodrich room was very romantic and comfortable and the hosts very friendly. The B&B is ideally located for visiting the many vineyards/wineries in Nelson County, with most of them within an easy drive.
