I stay here most every time I have to work in DC and it's always been the most convenient and affordable. You can walk to the metro and the rooms have always been clean and the beds comfortable. The rooms have mini fridges but no microwaves but there is one in the lobby to use. Great deal for the money.

I'd echo the previous reviews. Free parking and breakfast, clean, helpful staff and plenty of retro character. We didn't bother with the shuttle as the metro is only a short walk away and you can cut through the Marriott. Good strong air con was also a plus.

I go to an annual conference in DC. This hotel costs me about a third of the hotels in downtown DC. The room is basic, but clean. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is included. And, the Americana shuttle will take you anywhere you need to go within Crystal City. Julio, the driver, always is awesome! In addition, the Americana is 2...

We spent six nights at the Americana while touring Washington DC. I would stay here again. The Americana is a 1960's-era "Motor Lodge" that has remained unchanged while the nearby highway became a freeway and the neighborhood was built up with high rise condos and large, expensive hotels. The Crystal City Metro station is two easy blocks away, with DC...

We were in DC for 4 days and stayed at the Hotel Madera near Dupont Circle. We missed our return flight and needed a last minute stay for the night. It was suggested we stay here. It looks like a place where a lot of folks end up for last minute stays because of missing flights. It cost us $110...

My wife and I stayed here during Marine Corps Marathon weekend. Near the metro, bars, resturants and the mall. Staff was really friendly. The breakfast was basic....cereal, toast, bagels, fruit & juice

We came into town for the Marine Corps Marathon. This is the second time we have stayed at the Americana Hotel and we are already planning to stay there again. The location is perfect--close to great restaurants and bars, within a couple blocks of a Metro station, and only a few minutes' ride from the airport. The staff is incredibly...

This hotel was a great find. The room rate compared to other hotels is outstanding for all they give. I found the room clean and very comfortable; great bed. The only negative thing I can say about the room and my reason for 4 stars instead of 5 star rating, is that the bathroom was tiny. It had a shower,...

We saved a lot of money on our visit to the DC area by staying here instead of the large hotels in Crystal City. It was close to the Metro, Pentagon Mall shopping and dining, etc. There was free parking, free breakfast, clean room, cable tv, plenty of hot water. Very retro feel to the place. Nothing fancy, but good...

The rate was perfect for the services available. The building needs an obvious update and room furnishings need refurbishing. My refrigerator leaked water and a towel was placed under to catch the water.A safety issue?? There was also inadequate lighting, especially in the area of the open closet. There was no clock or radio available as well. Most annoying was the loud housekeepers chatter...
