This is a very old house with a lot of history. We had a chance to sit down with one of the owners, Ken, and talk about the house and the surrounding area. He is a wealth of knowledge. The room we stayed in was great. Very homey and comfortable. Even down to the skeleton key lock. The breakfasts were...

We had a wonderful time in this very beautiful, clean, and comfortable inn. The breakfast tasted fabulous and looked like we were in a 4 star restaurant. The presentation was beautiful. We had a great stay and I would definitely do it again.

We spent a 4-day Thanksgiving visiting family in Albany, and were looking forward to a stay in the Joshua Wood master bedroom (fireplace!) Because the fireplace being renovated, we were offered the third-floor Eagles Nest (with a glass-front Franklin Stove)! The large apartment was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and relaxing before the the fire was a perfect way to end...

The location is ideal for visitors on the bike trail or tubing the river, but for people like us, everything was a drive. Didn't plan well so our first dinner was chicken tenders and cheap wine from the Mobil mini-mart. However, the house and grounds are beautiful, our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were five star. Every...

The Albany House is perfect inside and out. The grounds are beautiful. The furnishings are lovely, like visiting your wealthy aunt's summer home. It is a little cramped, but it adds to the atmosphere. The owner was pleasant but not friendly. My two negatives are these: the location is terrible. The neighborhood is questionable and the city is not very...

We (3 couples) stayed one night at the Albany House this past week and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, rooms are clean and relaxing, the setting is pure Wisconsin countryside. We used the location as a stopping off spot during our cheese tour of Green County. The hosts were very helpful and the breakfast was amazing! I...

We only booked this B&B because all hotels in New Galrus were sold out. It was a good option, outside the uneventful location, it was worth driving 25 min just to enjoy a more charming hotel. I wished we knew about the water tubing a kayaking on the river right in front of the B&B, we would have loved to...

As backpackers on foot, we found Albany House convenient to the Ice Age trail, with several restaurants within walking distance for supper. Ken was a gracious host, and breakfast at 8:30 was very good, from fruit parfait to home made coffee cake.

Albany House was the respite for our 25th anniversary getaway. We could not be more pleased. Ken and Margie are excellent hosts, and Margie's breakfast the first day was labelled the best she's ever had at a B&B by my wife: lemon poppy seed scones, fresh fruit cup, "egg blossom" (egg in puff pastry with some tomato sauce), fresh asparagus,...

We recently spent 5 months at the Albany House River Cottage after selling our home before my husband retired. The cottage is a step back in time to simpler days. The furnishing are perfect, true to the era of cottages yet the cottage is full of luxury. The charming master suite with gas fireplace and private bath was a wonderful...

“Remember, the cottage doesn't include breakfast since it's a separate building so if you prefer not to cook yourself, stay in the Albany bed and breakfast house or dine in one of the wonderful restaurants in the towns listed above that are conveniently minutes away. :)”
