I'm sure this place was really nice when it was new. We stayed in the Alaya cabin and the view was breathtaking. The grounds are lovely too. The problem with this place is that it is very dated, we could practically see thru our sheets with several patches sewn in. They can't spring for new sheets? My biggest concern was...

I went to coroico a lot times before but this was my first time in Sol y Luna incredible place, amazing landscape, peaceful, nice rooms, good restaurants and good price the only negative is far from the center of Coroico so you have to walk a really high Hill to arrive to the hostel, but is worth it!!!

Visited this great place 3 times during my stay in la Paz. Food is excellent for it's price and management is friendly. Especially when you're from the Benelux and have been travelling South America for some months, the food comes as e relief! :)

Our three families with kids ranging from 8 - 2 made the the trek from La Paz dropping over 8,000 feet to the city of Coroico, and finally, to Sol y Luna. After squeezing our cars through the tiny town we wove our way up the mountain to the hotel-or, more accurately, a collection of private bungalows of varying sizes...

A peaceful tropical oasis built for pure relaxation! high above the town. It's a 20-25 minutes walk up but it's worth every minute. All the rooms are different but all with unique, lovely touches. Rustic not luxury. The whole resort is spread out on the hillside, some cabins have views but if not there are view points. Food amazing. Staff...

This is a beautiful property with lovely pools and places to sit and take in the views. The sleeping situation however is pretty terrible. We rented one of the cottages and the mattress stank like it had been there since the 40s and was shaped like a large bowl. The sheets on the bed were thin with numerous patches. Common!...

Our bus was delayed due to brake trouble on the Death Road. When we got in around midnight they had kept the kitchen open so they could provide hot sandwiches. We had a lovely little cabin atop a hill. They only trouble was climbing and climbing with only a flashlight to show the way. They staff was helpful in getting...

This place is paradise. It rained most of the time we were there and we didn't even mind, it was so gorgeous. Everything in this hotel is pretty and serene. There are hammocks and lots of pools. There are flowers everywhere and the sounds of so many birds. Our room was comfortable with big windows and a very good bed....

The best place in Bolivia to chill and rest during long trip. The garden is awesome, far from the crowd and like a jungle. Fantastic view, hummingbirds, huge butterflies. Plus really tasty food. With food a little bit expensive, but totally worth it! :) WiFi just in common area, rooms not very high standard, but that's not the point.

Stop searching, this is where you need to stay! Such good value, such a beautiful property. The reception has a wealth of information on what to do around the area. It is quite the walk up the hill, but there is a decent shortcut, so don't let that put you off. The WiFi was not very good however. And the...
