Tropical Manaus is a very old resort. Offers a large number of rooms and servicea. Food is nice, but expensive. The service is very bad. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable, but some are old fashion, with old equipaments. Don't expect luxury around here ! But may be the best option in the city...

I loved the zoo and the pool, the room was okay. But the tech hasn't been updated since the disco ages. They charge for wifi per device you use. The food stinks.

This hotel is ordinary at best. Nice check-in area, but staff seemed to have better things to do than attend to people checking in. The room was very run down, few things worked properly. The phone kept ring, there was no card to tell you what numbers to call, even for room service. The remote for the very old TV...

Nothing went well during my stay here, except perhaps the view - which was wonderful. Despite extensive correspondence, There was no one to meet me at the airport for my "free" transportation, and it was difficult to get a cab in the middle of the night when my flight arrived. Reimbursement for the cab ride was promised upon arrival, but...

The hotel is far away from downtown. There are carptes on the rooms and in a very high humid climate as Manaus is, it makes the whole hotel to stink. Everything in the hotel is overpriced....specially the food.

While the Tropical Manaus hotel looks nice from the outside, and features many activities, restaurants and attractions to keep you occupied throughout the day, returning to our room every evening was a nightmare. For a hotel which advertises modern rooms, everything in our room was very old and obsolete. The television was a 16" box, with several channels only coming...

The Tropical Hotel in Manaus looks like a giant spider or an octapus from above while inside it almost feels like a huge anthill. The rooms are big and somewhat dark. The beds are comfortable. I have stayed at the Tropical many times, all for only a few days between tours into the jungle. It´s very expensive but it´s location...

The problem with the Tropical is that most people only stay one or two nights here either before or after a trip into the jungle. The hotel is currently undergoing an up date but this is a problem for current visitors. It is pot luck if you get an updated room or one that is badly in need of renovation.We...

For me the biggest advantages of this hotel are its proximity to the airport and the boats that take you to the Ariau Towers and Tropical Tree Climbing. I stayed here two nights at the beginning and end of my jungle excursion. I enjoyed walking around the mini-zoo when i had an extra hour. The food in the restaurants was...

I spent a few nights here before and after an excellent trip up the Negro river with the Motor Yacht Tucano. In general the hotel is very good, still the best of Manaus in my opinion. However, be aware that many services are horrible - slow check-in, lousy room service, lobby bar folks not very attentive. Do not miss the...
