David and his family were so helpful and friendly, they really went out of their way to make us feel at home. It is conveniently located to the Pelo area; we were a little nervous at first as we were told it was close to a rough neighbourhood but we had absolutely no problems. We also learnt from locals that... More

Hospeda Salvador is a really wonderful place to stay in Pelourinho. It's an old colonial house located on a quiet street and is easy walking distance to the center of everything going on in Pelourinho ~ shopping, restaurants, music. Everyone I met there was really helpful and friendly. A nice breakfast was prepared and served every morning and it was... More

This is my second trip to Salvador and although the course I was doing was offering accommodation I chose to stay at Hospeda Salvador. Why? Simply because it is like coming home. The manager (David) and his family do everything possible to look after you from picking you up from the airport, serving up a decent cafe de amanha (breakfast),... More

2 of us stayed here for 2 nights during the World Cup. While somewhat difficult and costly to get to from the airport, the Hostel is located in a convenient location to the Pelo area, although it can be unsafe at night. The entire staff was very helpful in planning our 2 days worth of events and steering us into... More

I worked as a volunteer at the Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador for the world cup so stayed 3 weeks at Hospeda Salvador. During this time I got to know David and his family quite well. They are lovely people who have the right attitude to treating customers. The rooms are clean, breakfast is filling and you can help yourself... More

The hostel is good with nice dorms including bed linen and towels. But I can't help but feel that David charged way way too much. I guess he milked the World Cup. The location is decent just a 5 minute downhill walk from Pelourinho square but I won't rate the street in which hostel is as safe. The breakfast was... More

I went there with my girlfriend. Well I have to say that this place is awesome. David, the owner is very helpful has made a very cosy and familiar hostel. The benefit/cost relation is the best we found there with big lockers, towels, clean and good beddings. Breakfast is also great. The best of it is the staff, we felt... More

It is a great place to stay. It has a family environment, it's closed to the historic center and at a great price! David will make sure that you have everything to make yourself feel comfortable. The place is clean, bathroom, rooms, kitchen. It felt like home. You have air conditioned and fan available at the dorms plus they give... More
