Pleasant hostel, intelligently planned. Deserving of its status as a benchmark for hosteling in Brazil. Rose is an exemplary host/manager. We arrived at 1130pm, she was still around and oriented us to the entire hostel before going home. She arranged private transport for hostel guests to the AUS vs. ESP World Cup match when the public bus didn't arrive, and...

The staff were really nice and helpful. They speak good English. It's a bit out of the city but there is a bus line that stops out the front. It's a bout a 15 min bus ride into the main centre of the city. The rooms were kept clean and tidy. But you can hear the people in the next...

We stayed 2 nights with our family in this hostel. It is 7 km outside the town. You can take the bus line Tramontin from Praca Rui Barbosa. We came there by car and found our way by following the busline. It is a quiet place in the middle of a green surrounding. The swimming pool is nice but has...

First of all takes an hour from the Rodoviaria to get there, so you pretty much have to invest the first two hours in Curitiba, one to go and one to come back downtown, to leave your luggage at the Hostel. Then the "front desk/concierge" staff is not really sure about thing around the city, not even the city bus...

We arrived pretty early in the morning, around 9am. As all busses from Iguazu do only get to Curitiba at that time. The girl at the reception which did our checkin had a hard time explaining what we could do and see in the city center until checkin time. Luckily the owner did just walk by and he did give...

This hostel is a 15 minute bus ride from the city centre but it is well worth the trip. It is set within a couple of acres of beautiful forest with a stream running through and two good common areas with a pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and reasonably modern with hot showers....

This hostel should be great. It's in a great place, with nice big rooms and relatively close to the best social area of Curitiba - the Batel. But the negatives points are bigger. The staff is not nice, the rooms are messy, dark, cold and dirty, the lockers are tiny and it's difficult to get public transportation. I booked one...

I'd have to agree with the Norwegian traveller below. Eco Hostel is out of the city, but easy enough to get to and from the centre with the bus (which run til late) - it's fun trying to remember where to get off on the way home though! The hostel has good security, and once you're in you feel like...

I spend some nights in this hostel in January. The place is not exactly located in the centre of the city, but there's a bus stop right outside the front door of the hostel. The bus ride into the centre is cheap and takes only 10 minutes. The name Eco hostel serves it right. It's in a very green area,...
