The staff are friendly and helpful, a nice pool and the breakfast buffet is good. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants. The only downside is the rooms are a bit old and I found the beds really small and uncomfortable.
Stayed here recently as part of a group tour and I have to say the facilities on an overnight train in China are better! We were already told to be careful of our belongings as some things had been reported stolen in the previous year, our toilet blocked on the first try, our window was broken, it was dirty and the general area didn't fill us with confidence. Would never stay here again or recommend it. It does the job - there was a bed, hot water and eventually a working toilet so don't worry if you're only here for a couple of nights, but definitely don't choose it if it's within your control!
I stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour with us booking 10 rooms in total for everyone. The sheets in all of the rooms were filthy! They had old blood stains on them...each of the 10 rooms had similar complains and one of the groups bed sheets were so badly stained with blood that she was made change room. Disgusting. There were additional warmer blankets but when we opened them up, they had so much dust and dirt fall out of them they were not usable. The showers were all filth too-ours had someone else’s hair all over it and it wasn’t cleaned for the duration of the stay. The rooms are just plain dirty! Staff are nice however-hence giving his hotel any stars at all!
Booked as part of a g adventures tour, the guy on the front desk was very helpful though none of the staff speak any English so you’ll need google translate to communicate. The rooms were freezing and I had to move room to get one with a heater which was loud and meant no sleep but better than being cold/getting ill. Not worth what was charged and definitely more hostel than hotel. Area not great either.
I stayed at this “hotel” last year as part of a G Adventures tour. It was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at. The rooms were filthy. The first room had about 100 dead flies in the bathroom. So we asked to move rooms. The next room was discussing and has the worst smell I have ever encountered. Ended up moving rooms again and having to share a room with 4 other guests. Avoid at all costs!
I put in my laundry only to find the next evening they hadn’t even bothered processing it. It was still sitting behind the desk. I had to leave the next morning and they said they would ‘guarantee’ it would be ready by 8am. Like I believed them! Apart from a decent breakfast this hotel is not very good. Don’t stay here.
This hotel is very average! Stayed here on a tour and wasn't overly impressed. It has air conditioned rooms but it only worked when your key is in the slot so it gets hit during the day. Bathroom has strange shower heads that light up when turned on, quite off putting. Sheets are old and feel weird. Wifi is good. Plugs are the traditional 3 Brazilian prong with one American socket in the bathroom. Pool isn't overly nice but it does the job! 10 min walk to supermarket. 10 min drive to Argentinian border.
Absolutely disgusting, old, dishevelled rooms with peeling wallpaper and a significant lack of style. The air con was so loud that we would hear it over the thunderstorm, and the walls were so thin that we could hear the air con next door as well. The breakfast was average (ham and cheese) and the staff were miserable all the time. Do not recommend.
Here with g adventures and hotel was good wifi gets spotty in rooms. Beds ok clean at least. I didn't get robbed and felt safe here even thoe I read some bad reviews. Close walk to many shops and restaurants
Much as many other reviewers have done, I stayed at the hotel with G for our visit to the falls. Having read the reviews on here, I was slightly concerned but need not have been. As with every other hotel, locked security boxes are provided which we used without issue. It's a sad fact of life that stuff gets stolen from rooms if it's not tied down, so lock stuff away you don't want going walkies. Thankfully, there was no suggestion of theft during my stay. The wifi was one of the best Ive experienced so far on the trip, allowing use in bedrooms far from reception as well as a Skype call on the patio. It's use was free so presumably this has changed since previous reviews. I had no issue with the bed, pillows or bathroom. Water was hot, pressure was good, sheets clean, fresh towels provided. It won't win any prizes at the 5* hotel awards however and any future residents expecting luxury on a basic tour are perhaps living in a dream world. Location isn't great, but is within walking distance of numerous eateries and a short drive to the falls so in my view, serves its purpose. Again, breakfast was to a decent standard for this grade of hotel, my comments on basic/luxury hotels apply here also. Overall a pleasing place to stay to allow for a visit to the falls and I'd happily stay there again.…
